That first story sounds like the teenage version of the rehab I went to 5 years ago. Also from Maine lol crazy! Definitely gave me the drive to make sure I NEVER end up at a place like that again. Being yelled at for your shortcomings and needing permission to start a relationship or even have relations with your significant other if you were married .. absolutely nuts
@rachellemarie9291

That first story absolutely reminds me of that Provo Canyon school in Utah that Paris Hilton & Kay Von D went to. It’s the same exact type of abuse except when they take you, they stage to “steal you” away in the night from your bed literally like a kidnapper. It’s DISGUSTING to say the least!! And the parents allow this, smfh. The parents are truly kept in the dark about 99% of what goes on their though. But seriously, if your paying money to send your kid to a school that stages a kidnap, red flag🚩number one! Paris has a whole documentary on her time their, Kat has a smaller one as well.

8th story was definitely not housekeeping, usually most housekeeping staff is dismissed before check in. It could be an error with the card reader where someone accidentally entered the wrong room, but it's a good reminder to always be safe in hotels. Always use every lock available, never say your room number out loud around strangers, and don't open the door for someone you don't know (even if they say they are maintenance, that could be a ploy - the front desk should always call you if they send someone up or you call them).
@joeynorris3978
Жыл бұрын
Former housekeeper here, shift ends when all rooms are cleaned. The majority leave around checkin times (most normal hotels are at 3pm motels are around 11am to 3pm) but depending on the size of the hotel and the size of the staff you can have anywhere from 15 to 20+ rooms. Add in laundry and whatnots. My mom worked for a really big hotel and would clock out at 430 everyday (normal morning shift) they'd be done with all rooms at 230 but would head to the laundry rooms to finish their other duties lol keycards are always a front desk issue. You're given a "master keycard" that opens every door or an actual key. But that stays with uniforms and is never put into front desk area.

The creeper customer trying to ogle the girl running the counter at the store reminds me of what I worked at a sex shop. We had 2 males on staff (myself and another guy) we both took it upon ourselves to creep the creeper when they were annoying the female staff members by not taking a hint and to stop flirting. Phase one of the creep a creeper was to make them think you seriously believe the gross flirting comments they are giving the female staff are also directed at you and comply with them (within reason) so if they say something like "gives us a spin, lets see the other side" or something we'd either pretend to obliviously give them a very clumsy spin or a very enthusiastic the campist spin with an arched back knotty face and everything. Phase 2 was if they kept trying to get a date or phone number and refused to back down after being told no we'd walk over grab the guys hand and write a phone on their hand in sharpie, or ask them if they wanted our number and continue to offer it until they left. Phase 3 was going right over the top and powermove them until they feel so uncomfortable with the situation they flee; like I once flashed a dude my nips because he was telling one of my coworkers how he'd love to see her without cloths, he said it twice thinking maybe she just didn't hear him the first time and just before she was about to tell him off I was like "Okay gawd!" got between the two of them and lifted my shirt and yelled "is that good daddy?" I kept my shirt up the and a goofy smile on my face while waving at him and not breaking eye contact the whole time he was leaving the store giving me a dirty look for cockblocking him.

The first story author doesn't know what a non-profit organization is. Non-profits need employees to run the operations of the organization. The teachers and staff of the school do get paid if they're working full time. They can't just give all their time to the school and make zero money for it. If the organization didn't pay the employees then they'd never get anybody to work there. Everybody would go work at a normal school and make actual money. A non-profit basically just means the owner doesn't make money, but instead they donate or reinvest "profits" back into the organization. Typically, the pay isn't supposed to be frivolous as to prevent public outcry, but there are no laws that restrict pay scale.

Story 4... The girl didn't save you. You're thanking the wrong person... Sure, in your mind you want to support girl power and all that stuff, but it was the boyfriend that made the man run away. You yourself said that after the girl said something to the weird man that he grabbed your arm. If the boyfriend wasn't there to threaten physical violence you would have just been snatched up. So cut the crap. It's okay to admit you needed a big strong man to save you. There's no shame in that.

This reminds me of Mountaineer Challenge Academy, I was sent here, It was the worst so much so you didn’t get your basic needs met. We wasn’t allowed to have bathroom break unless it’s on schools schedule so some of the girls would use the bathroom in the shower.. which would leave us with water backing up to our feet. When my father finally picked me up my hair was falling out from the lice shampoo (we didn’t have time to wash it out of our hair) (despite us bringing our own hygiene products they took it away and forced us to use their stuff, we couldn’t even shave our legs which made the men laugh and call us names) It brings tears to my eyes I remember my hair smelled of mold.. My father had to ride with the windows down the whole ride home because I stank so badly. There was always someone to listen in on your calls so you can’t make your parents aware of what happens and the fact they would read your letter before you sent it to your family sickens me.
