That person clearly had low or no self-esteem. The fact that she thought negatively towards her supposed female friend (thinking she's lying) and essentially sided with a man she didn't really know, then kept entertaining him when he kept telling her that he's a violent psychopath over and over shows that. She was so pathetic that she continued just to have his attention.

Story 4: “I’m convinced this guy’s a psychopath, or something very close to it.” That girl seems pretty stupid. It’s clear that he IS a psychopath based on every single thing that was said. He admitted to killing dogs, abusing his last one, admitted that he has a strong sexual desire to kidnap & murder a woman & have sex with the corpse, admitted to kidnapping an escort & ‘scarring’ her, & his ex even warned the girl about how he almost killed her, yet she still dated him… Then he became a cop who highly likely abused his power. I don’t understand why she would even try to reconnect with him. & after he nearly beat some random dude to death, she reported him to the cops, but probably didn’t mention everything else he’s said or done. If they started an investigation on him, I’m sure they’d find evidence on his devices. Sick assholes leave a trail of evidence. Some blend in & flow through society, some are too sick to even make an attempt to blend in, like this guy.

I can't even believe you just talked about the samurai killer in STL. I've been listening to your stories for a while, but that just got too close to home. I was his neighbor and I was the one who placed the 911 calls that night. I was by my open window when I heard someone screaming die over and over. I looked out and saw him pacing in his apartment slapping himself in the face. I called the police, but they didn't take me seriously. I had to place numerous calls to 911 after I heard a bunch of gun shots and breaking glass, but they never came. I even called the police again the next day when I saw all the lights were still on in his apartment and I just felt something wasn't right. It took them days to finally respond, find the body, and track down and arrest the guy. During that time, he was riding around on his scooter having had a complete psychotic break. Scary stuff.

Actually, it sounded like a female wrote that story. Her friend dated the psychopath, & she tried to warn the person about how the guy is psycho. So she thought her friend was just telling her things because she was mad at her ex (the psycho) & didn’t want them to be together, so she didn’t believe her friend. I do feel sorry for Seth Herter. He was interviewed and it turned out he did love the man he murdered - they had dated. "In some ways, it is a relief to return to reality. In others, it is crushing. He knew the man he killed. More than knew - he says they had dated for years. They had recently split up, but Herter says he called his victim on the day of the killing because he thought people were in his walls and furniture, and he needed help clearing them out. His face slowly turns red as he talks, and then he sobs. 'I loved him so much,' he cries out. 'Can you please say that? Please tell people that I'm not a monster.' " He is unfortunately a monster because he ended someone's life, but it seems like it actually will haunt him for the rest of his life, which is more than some others. It's also not his fault that he has the mental illnesses he has, but he should have sought help. Apparently it ran in his family. The whole situation was just tragic.

Some people are so desperate for internet attention “I met a weirdo at the grocery store, but nothing happened.” That’s not a story at all.

Started following r/nihilism without an actual grasp of what that means. Got in an argument with someone, they proceeded to hack into my Reddit profile then change my bio to “not impressed”. That’s the last time I piss someone off on Reddit.

On the one story about the guy that killed his boyfriend, the book of Revelation says absolutely nothing about wanting everybody to or anybody else.

Guys, I know Rom-Coms (if you've seen some) and other movies and such might tell you "Well, if you like her, TALK TO HER!" or have funny contrived ways they "meet" the girl of their dreams, but a lot of women in real life really are weirded out by strange men talking to them. I don't mean natural conversations, but following them, watching their routine, yelling things out of your car window at women walking (my brother used to do this and I'd always say "STOP IT!! You're going to creep them out!" to which he'd say "I'm just being friendly," and this would just piss me off!!) If they (or for that matter, men) need real aid, of course, render it if you can, or if immediate action isn't needed, call for help. (Obviously for example, if the car is going to blow up or she's not breathing and you are able to help, you'll want to do so). But that's an extreme case. (And no, don't cause the issue that make them require the emergency aid. 😑 ) As the security expert, head of the Gavin de Becker & Associates security firm and the author of "The Gift of Fear" points out in that book, women live in a different world than men. They have fears that many men might not imagine. Women are often hunted in a way that most men are not. (Yes, I know - men can be and have been the objects of some very scary stalkings as well). The best thing to do is leave her along, take "no" for an answer politely, and just be able to read people a bit better.

"I was a pretty and relatively smart 15 year old year girl" Like what??? Why would how you look matter, especially when you're still a baby? It's so strange to me when I hear shi like this. Plus he just left by her screaming at him 😂 Hed know if her sister was there. She would have responded by then, especially with all the screaming. And she didn't go back down to check how he got in and lock that shi up? I get icky vibes from that 💯 My a** would be on the phone with 911 and locked away as best as I could manage to figure out with all that stress.

So there's some kind of problem with the young lady thinking positively about herself? I think something is wrong with you.

@@KKelly-ng1ni Absolutely not! Did I say that? Confidence is great. It's that it had nothing to do with the story. It's odd. She's writing it at 30 something. I wouldn't describe myself as an attractive girl over 15 years ago telling a traumatic story like that. I don't know, the whole story seemed unreal to me. If you read my comment I detailed all that made absolutely no sense to me. I got icky vibes from it. I mean it's cool and all if someone wants to write a fiction story but at least write it as so.

The 'I only told my sister the next day' followed by 'It's the first time I told anyone about this' felt off, too! It's only one or the other, not both.
