Side note as I work as a physician: those kinds of bruise patterns usually appear when a lateral ligament in the foot is torn so I´d suggest you should propably consult a local doctor if possible David ;) Get well soon and that video was bananas (damn, dad joke sry) :D

i sprained mine a few months ago. the bruise was where Davids was but carried on upward in the same severity, and my shin and calf were peppered with paler bruising. it went onto my toes and the top of my foot. is this why i still hurt. should i see a doctor even though its been like 3 months. o dear

Wow, I fell at the gym and had this line twice. My foot was so swollen. Got an x-ray which said bone looks alright so I didn't bother to see a doctor until 3 months later when the pain wasn't entirely going away. But the doctor mentioned that the muscle got damaged and it's totally cramped.

banana bread (and pumpkin bread, zucchini bread, etc) are called that because the original version was "quick bread" which is unsweetened and tastes more like bread, even though it has a muffin/cake texture and is made with a batter. it's basically irish soda bread. so it kept the bread name once people started messing around with adding fruit and making it cakier
@sjenkins1057
Жыл бұрын
Banana bread is a *quick bread*, leavened with baking power or soda as opposed to yeast. Other quick breads include Irish soda bread and, technically, American style pancakes. Quick breads were revolutionary compared to slow rise yeasted breads made possible when reliable commercially available baking soda and power became available.

Since you like bananas so much, i think you would really like some of the ways we use bananas here in Brazil. The top 3 recipes that come to mind instantly are: fried bananas, we usually do these with a different variety of banana that is more earthy and stringy because after it's fried, it tastes much better; Banana croquetes, pretty much just a whole banana cut in half and breaded, then deep fried; and lastly and my absolute favorite, banana pizza, just pizza dough, mozzarella cheese, sliced bananas, sugar and cinnamon (and sometimes sweetened condensed milk), some people may think it's a crime but i promise you it is spectacular

The origins of banana bread are the reason why it is called bread, the original recipe used yeast, but also as part of a way to give people uses for bananas. It is really interesting... similar to the reason why shortbread is called bread, they called it bread for the tax benefit, and the fact that it has less sugar than regular cookies makes this provision.

Some soy sauces may contain fish products in the ingredients, so if you are vegan, make sure you check the ingredients list. Also, some use animal-derived lactic bacteria in the fermentation process but don't disclose wether they use animal-derived or vegetable-derived lactic bacteria to ferment their soy sauce. A nice alternative if you must be vegan and care about any of the above is Liquid Aminos.
