@@lardosian If you want to make the audio plugins you will need to know the C++. Then just use some plugin framework like Juce or iPlug to create the plugins. Mostly, you will develop only for one platform and it will work on the other one too, but that depends on the framework. I am using the custom build of IPlug for my plugins and I had to do a lot of additional work to get the plugin working the same on Windows and macOS.

Great video! This is a game changer for me. However I have a question, why is that when I export at -14 LUFS my tracks sound waaaayyyy lower than other tracks, even comparing them side to side to music playing from spotify? Only when I export at -9 LUFS can my track match the loudness of other music. Curious thing is that I analyzed one of my tracks using loudness penalty and shows -3 for spotify, but when I play this same track from spotify has the exact same loudness than playing the wav file from my computer; the thing is , there should a -3db reduction when uploaded to spotify, but nope, and it's the same thing for other tracks I've purchased, it sounds equally loud when playing from my computer and from spotify, and when I analyze them with the loudness meter they show -9LUFS (and loudness penalty shows a reduction of around 5-6db). I'm really confused by this.

Thank you very much for the video! Super detailed as always :) Though I'm a little confused by Loudness Range vs. Dynamic Range: you mentioned that normally for commercial audios, the ideal Dynamic Range is 8 LU (10:35). While at the end of your example 10:33, you suggested that maybe you could increase the Dynamic Range at 9.1 LU, which is more than 8 LU, while the Loudness Range is 6.7 LU, below 8 LU. So, for many commercial tracks as you mention, should we target Dynamic Range at 8 LU, or Loudness Range at 8 LU?

This meter is essential for helping you get a master track to the.volume level it should be..Before this meter I was just wondering how the pros tracks had more volume..well this is the key navigation meter..This is just a meter (not a volume enhancer/booster) ..It helps you scope out a desired volume level as well as helping you maintain a required volume level.

I use loudness meter to master my song but notice that using it as a guide ends up making my music much quieter the songs I'm using for reference.

What volume do you use for playback in reading the tool? I've found that with this tool, the reading simply fluctuates with your volume setting - right peak range when volume in mid-range but way over on peak with volume set high. so what volume level should be used to ensure a proper reading? Thanks

Awesome! I personally met Julijan (Youlean) too, the guy who created this plugin. He is from Serbia. A very nice guy. 🙂
