Jackie Powell is an absolute freak. I think she was in love with Brady and she reveled in the importance her role brought her.

Jackie Powell thought she had some privileged relationship with Ian and that he had somehow elevated her above the way he viewed others, but she was a means to an end for him like every other person he had ever had dealings with. Something is wrong with that woman, in a warped way I feel sorry for her.

Why is that woman supporting him and helping him? How can she say shes not interested in what happened 50 years ago? Its the most despicable set of crimes of the 20th century, he deserves no respect, no dignity. Nothing!

Exactly. I honestly don’t know. The interviewer is allowed to share in the opinion of everyone else publicly that he is still playing wicked games withholding information about Keith’s whereabouts and his advocate completely flipped her lid on the reporter, there is being a correspondent of a patient but there’s no reason she should be defending his crimes.

What does that weirdo Alan Keightley mean by 'you were dicing with death'? Dealing with a sad pathetic old man who was only ever a threat to children? Yeah, scary stuff.

Huge misjudgement from the guardian there. Give her the benefit the doubt and presume he got to her.. But to not give that letter up.. What consequences could be worse than denying a possible chance for the mother? Youve let him down? Who cares. You're unprofessional? Who cares? So why then?

She would have been fired and risked losing her license. She brought it up so that law enforcement could issue a subpoena/warrant to take it but they didn't do it even after producer of this went to them. Then a year later Ian Brady demanded it back

@@PaulDoe79 losing her licence is a selfish reason not to do it. A better reason would be if she felt it would mean Brady would never disclose anything. But..she could have approached the Mother about that dilemma, and how would Brady know anyway.

@@CL2005 in your opinion. I believe alerting the world to the document so that it could be legally obtained was honorable of her. Mental health advocates are not allowed to violate the terms of their client. He told her it was not to be opened until his death. Had she opened it herself or given it to someone she would be fired, lose her license and sued. She even said herself that he may have put nothing in there and was testing her to see if she did open it. If she did then he could lodge a complaint. She even went to the police and told them what he said and about the document. They chose not to go to court to obtain it. So if you're upset be upset with the police and the courts for not obtaining it. I learned that the police and courts dismissed anything Brady said because he had lied to them so many times and taken them on wild Goose chases. There was the situation with Keith's body, then him admitting to more murders which they wasted time and money investigating only to learn he was lying to them. Most believed he was doing this to hurt Keith's family again and they didn't want to get their hopes up only to be disappointed again. You say she should have gone to the mother... she went to the police and told the world in a documentary. Even the producer went to the police about it and was shot down.

How could that woman watch and participate in child murders and sleep at night. Causing the families of the kids to suffer for years.
