I have a pallet fork on my 3point hitch and built a similar platform for carrying stuff around. I never thought of eye bolts, good idea, but I did put 2" PVC pipes on the hitch side to carry shovels or rakes

That is an important I am woefully behind in doing. I have horizontal shovel hooks on the back of my roll bar that I mostly use, but the pipes would be hand in many instances. Thanks for watching!

I viewed this video months ago and enjoyed it immensely. So much that I had to view it again. Nicely done. I was surprised of the critics who seemed to comment on what you should have done and not on the actual quality job you did do in this build. I guess folks being cooped up during pandemic may have made them a bit testy. I enjoyed another great watch. Have a fine weekend, Boneset Ranch. 🙂

Just stumbled on the channel in my feed. Good on you for building a carry-all. That is one of, if not THEE most used attachment for me on our little farm here in WIsc. I have built three of them over the years. First one, which was pretty much just a box on a Harbor Freight frame, I foolishly sold for some reason (though I did get a pretty good amount for it). #2 I fabricated myself, frame included, but used some scrap, untreated wood that I knew would not last. It did give me the chance to understand what I liked and did not like with what is a pretty simple tool. I came out with version #3 this year when I rebuilt it. I can not say I ever had an issue with clearance on the lower three-point arms with my old 8n or NAA, but I was thinking about some holes to access additional tie downs. Not convinced I want any holes, though. I had done something similar with the eyebolts, only they were bolt-ons to the frame, and I have a second set on the ends/back of the frame at the bottom. Very handy for dragging things like brush, as I often use the carry-all when cutting down trees and clearing brush. I added the removable sides, using stake beds, and the "tailgate" are individual deck boards that slide down into a slots on the sides. I was going to build a solid tailgate, but with loose items, like mulch, having the flexibility of the individual boards has been pretty handy. The one add-on I really like, are a couple of cleats I added on the inside of the top of both sides. Those same tailgate boards can be places there making what is effectively a bench. Really handy when you need a work space out on the property to work on a chainsaw, work on a project, or just park your rear end for a break. One of my favorite additions. Sorry for the long comment, but looking forward to seeing your other content.

Glad you found the channel. Still finding the carry all handy as ever. We visited Wisconsin for the first time in October. Beautiful state. Much greener than CA had been after another long dry summer. Picked up excellent cheese, ice cream and milk from Tetzner Dairy Farm there.

clamp on bucket forks (3 or 4 hundred) work well if you don't have quick attach on the front
@bonesetranch

I do have a set of clamp on forks. They work great form some loads. But my bucket has less lifting capacity than the 3-point hitch. Plus, there are times I do push the limits and load up both.

Nice build BR. I made a collapsible carry-all and meets all my needs. Glad you made a carry-all for the tractor. They seem to come in handy for almost anything bulky. I carry my heavy generator in mine when I bring it up to the house during hurricane season (which seems to all year round). Enjoyed a full-watch. NEW SUBSCRIBER!! to show support.

I have a ‘Tailslave” on my International B275, it is a stage better because it is a true forklift with a single hydraulic ram to do the lifting to a height about 8 feet. Very useful.
@bonesetranch
2 жыл бұрын
That does sound very handy. Especially the lifting up to 8 feet. It would be additionally helpful if that would provide more lifting power than forks added on the front of the bucket. There's only so much I can expect out of my well used old reliable.

@@bonesetranch hi, glad someone read my post. My International was made in 1961, when I bought it 40 years ago it was in a bit of a state, I fully record the engine, fitted a new radiator and new wings. The hydraulics always worked well, I used it in my business for loading and unloading from wagons. Now I use it for mowing our 3 acre field, ferrying logs and unloading biomass fuel logs. The fork lift mounts onto the 3 point linkage and the hydraulics is straight from the connector as usual. I bought the tails lift at an auction for £75, and I am often asked to sell it. It is rated for 1.5 tons but I don’t have counterbalanced weight for the front of the tractor so it is confined to 15cwt. I have lifted 1 ton on rare occasions with a steel bar and my son putting his weight onto it. These amazing tractors and equipment go on forever when looked after.

@@MsAlisonWunderland I've said it to another commenter, it's refreshing to hear from fellow non-orange and new tractor owners. I pictured the lift having the ability to set on the ground with heavy duty wheels for unloading heavy loads. Still going to keep an eye out for something like that. Thanks for watching.

What kind of chipper is that in the background and where can I find one
@bonesetranch
2 жыл бұрын
That is a chipper I picked up from Titan Attachments www.palletforks.com/tractors/3-point/forestry-equipment/3-point-wood-chipper-attachments/WCBX-GROUP.html . I was surprised to see how much more they are compared to when I purchased it. It uses a flywheel with 4 blades. It can chip up to 4inch branches, but that's mostly softer wood capacity. I stick to around 2 inches and less with the oak tree branches I mostly have.

Hi I just got here, why don't you use pallets to move stuff around? with a fork attachment it will be easier and quicker.
@bonesetranch
2 жыл бұрын
I do that too. And pallet forks are handy. But there are times I want to use the bucket in addition to moving other things. Plus pallet forks do impede the maneuverability and forward facing lines of site. So in these cases, having another way to carry things around the property is a bonus.
