the 250xflow was far from a anchor , there were as strong as the intech and could make power easyer

The Crossflow was the dad to the SOHC/Intec, it's the 144ci to the 250ci non crossflow with the inlet manifold cast into the head featured in the XK to XB Falcon's which is the granddaddy of them

I don’t agree with your labelling the X-Flow a boat anchor. Their Achilles heel was their stroke length. You can now cure that by running different pistons with a different skirt, made by ACL, and using rods from the 200ci motors. That will make them much more revvy, as it changes the rod angle so it’s not angled over so far. Although, a well built 250ci alloy head can still be damn potent. I built one for my XE, 40 thou over, flat top pistons, a big cam, roller rockers (they’re the same as Cleveland ones) and a good port job done, I think 40 thou off the head also, and I ran a 4 barrel 650 Holley on it with a 5 speed Supra box. It embarrassed a lot of expensive cars. I sold the motor and when it was dynoed with a smaller exhaust and a 500 Holley, it made 290hp at the rear wheels. I also was team mechanic for 2 XD Falcon speedway cars running pre xflow 250’s with 2V heads and we got those cars moving really well, they were regular feature race winners.

1:30 is an early EA with a 3.9, 2:20 is an XF with a 4.1 and a decent motor. 3.9s are more of a boat anchor and well known for blowing headgaskets

Prone for getting hot because the casting sand was never cleaned from the blocks properly. I’ve seen it with my own eyes. But yes, these geeks are just pretenders. It’s like they watch KZitem vids then make KZitem vid. Xflow is gangster.

xflows are boat anchors? youve obviously never come across a well sorted one. they were that good they even triggered a rewrite of the categories at the drags in the US. they were importing them to the US by the bucket load. the one that you couldn't identify had 3" non factory headers, so it wasn't a slug. They were more than able to flog 308 holdens in their day. the old iron head sixes sounded far better than any intech/SOC when they had pacemakers etc.... they and the hemi e38's sounded and went like v8's, and in the lowerpart of the torque range could eat small blocks.

Hey Nathan do you know if its a powersteering pump issue if my ef likes to try and stall while turning slowly reversing and going forward or something else like a vac leak? Just cuts out heaps hard suddenly and have to hit the clutch
