Hi, what's the largest roof top cargo box I can buy to put on top of my van?

What’s the minimum amount of spacing you recommend for the rack? Racks for my Q7 seem to all max at 31.5 inches. Thanks for your help!

Good looking set up. Two quick questions. How much might this set up decrease average mpg on long highway drives, any idea? And any wind noise on highway drives?

Hey Nate, we don't have numbers for the mpg decrease, unfortunately. As for highway wind noise, I will be honest and say yes there will be some. Realistically, any tent, cargo box, or anything of a larger scale on the roof of a car is going to make a louder noise when you drive as fast as you need to on a highway. The noise drastically reduces at lower speeds. Also, the hard shell cover of this tent will make less noise than a soft shell

Yakima rates this crossbar system at 165lbs. The tent alone weighs 160 lbs without occupants. How do you explain being able to use the Yakima rack with this tent and 1-3 campers inside?

Hello. This iKamper weights in a 155 pounds, the roof rack is rated to 165 pounds maximum while driving, while parked the weight capacity can be as high as 2.5 times the driving weight capacity. Thanks!

OEM bars on different vehicles can have quite different weight capacities. It would be best to refer to your owners manual or to reach out to your local dealer.

Best RTT on the market today for many reasons. Pros: Fast deployment and stowaway, lightweight (good weight to capacity ratio), low drag coefficient, ability to store Limited bedding i.e. pillows, blankets thus saving time and freeing up space in vehicle, and High Quality! Cons: Pricey (you get what you pay for), large footprint, takes up most if not all usable roof rack space.
