No one can hate Izzo. He’s just such a classy guy imo.

he does compliment the other team but he complains about the refs after every game and he doesn't know how to pronounce players names going back to Ayo

@@hiberto Him and Painter. Painter kept calling Tominaga...Tominagi....lmao. You'd think after these players have been in the conference for a few years that the coaches would know how to pronounce their names. It is a sign of disrespect.

He always looks that way. A bit grumpy but that's a coach for you. Many of them are like that. He's not very happy with his team in general but they seem to have played harder and tougher than the Northwestern game. But, that won't make him feel better in the W-L column

Fun game to watch. I thought Walker was the best player on the court. Both teams played well. Seemed like a bit of a coin flip at the end. Always fun to watch an Izzo team come to town. ILL

Walker was 1/7 from 3. Coleman was definitely the best player, both offensively and defensively. MSU can’t win with Walkers B game

Here's an old guard of old time college basketball speaking from heart and soul and holding fast to his belief. There's nothing but the highest regard for Tom Izzo. College sports are fast evolving into professional sports of different rules. It's sad to see his breed gradually got washed away.

Losses make you reflect, Izzo interview seems more introspective to me than a reflection of what just happened. Seems very downtrodden, and not because of a loss. Weary.

When you play good enough to win especially on the road in the Big 10 and are just falling short it takes a toll on ya. This press conference is a reflection of that. He's a helluva Coach. They'll be ok.

I think Izzo needs to redirect his blame away from Mady a bit and give it to Cooper. Mady did everything he was capable of doing and he kicked butt on the defensive boards. And I honestly didn’t think he was that bad on defense. I thought Cooper played a lot worse than Mady in this game (and the past few). Idk…. I’m wondering where Trey Holloman has been the past two games. Can’t afford to have him vanish with Fears out.

Thought MSU's defense was really good. Illinois had to play completely differently than they did the previous few games. Illinois (except for part of the first half) never looked comfortable offensively.

@@MkMk-gd1xr Yeah, Izzo wasn't kind about his big men. Illinois isn't a small team and MSU's defense was disruptive. Still think defensively, MSU played well.

Go Green💚 Spartan til I die! Illinois is a great team but this is not spartan basketball, Im a major spartan basketball fan and This is definitely the worst season I have seen by far especially Big ten conference play. We will come back! spartans will always fight back

This Spartan team has no front court presence. I don't understand Izzo being loyal to Sissoko who plays like he has oven mitts on both hands. Because he is a Senior? That's crap and who cares about loyalty. We want to win. Izzo should have brought in a quality center that this team so desperately needs. This is total crap and that's why we don't close out games on top. Not becuase of missed free throws, please. Everyteam knows we have no big men with any talent.

It is time. Time for Izzo to retire. Irrelevant for 4 years. Too antiquated and stubborn to shift with the acceleration of contemporary college basketball. MSU plays like it is the 2000s, in 2024! If you want to call them competitors, they compete to lose more often than not. I have great respect for Izzo, but it is time to go.
