Imagine Dragons is an American pop rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, consisting of lead singer Dan Reynolds, lead guitarist Wayne Sermon, bassist Ben McKee, and drummer Daniel Platzman. The band first gained exposure with the release of their single "It's Time", followed by their award-winning debut studio album Night Visions (2012), which resulted in the chart-topping singles "Radioactive" and "Demons"

This group puts Rock n' Roll in the modern era back in the conversation. Very authentic in instrumentation...excellent songs with deep meanings about the human condition, Ecology, Racism, Positivity, Spirituality, and other issues. And they are so far the only group that has done it commercially and successfully. Definitely one of my favorite Rock n' Roll bands. Look forward in seeing them in concert. I know you guys are not aware of it...but there are Rock n' Roll bands out there in the 21st Century that are authentic musicians playing real music instruments with great vocals and deep lyrics....like Imagine Dragons.....We need to discover them like Lake Street Dive or AJR promote them by buying and reviewing their singles and album and get them on the Billboard Charts so the message can get out there. If you like this song, then react to "Counting Stars" by One Republic.

One of my favorite songs! If you get a chance you should watch the biography of the lead singer. He's quite a guy! He suffers from depression & a lot of his lyrics reflect that.

Demons is great and is what got me into Imagine Dragons. They have lot of popular songs, so some of their less popular songs go unnoticed. Shots and The Fall have great lyrics and instrumentation, and would definitely recommend these. I feel they are underrated!

This is one very good song! I loved the melody and lyrics. A while ago I watched a KZitem video of this band at T in the Park in Scotland and they were great. I actually have one of their songs which I downloaded in 2019 - it's a live acoustic version of a song called Radioactive - I absolutely love it. Again I enjoyed listening to your reactions, guys. Incidentally, any chance that you will be reacting to some more heavier stuff, Metallica for preference? Songs like Harvester of Sorrow, Dream no More, For Whom the Bell Tolls and Sad but True. Just to warn you, they are all pretty heavy but great for having a bit of headbanging to get rid of a few cobwebs and tension!! Many thanks guys.

I discovered Imagine Dragons via 2Cellos last year. My favourite is Demons, but I love all their songs. Their genre is unique and difficult to describe. My other close favourites of their I would recommend you to react to are Radioactive, It's Time (acoustic version ), Thunder, Believer, I Don't Know Why and Whatever It Takes. You won't be disappointed.

If you want modern music that's complicated and deep, check out Twenty One Pilots. Most of their songs deal with mental health, religious doubts, fearing death, suicide, and other really heavy topics.

Dan Reynolds i actually a minister (or once was) in the Mormon Church and all these songs' lyrics resonate with spiritual overtones- soul saving, the central role of faith in the human condition, the evil of surrenduing to corrupting temptations, salvation through love.

I remember when.this song came out. Lol. Guys I know that you are more focused on the late greats, and yes I will agree that for the most part older tunes seem to have more meaningful lyrical content and better performers. That being said Id like to remind you of a conversation you two had amongst yourselves in one of your videos. One of you asked the other what it would have been like to live in a generation where you could actually see these performers and see their progression as artists in real time. With that query in mind I want you to know that there are still amazing and talented musicians out there right now in our own time. Don't rob yourselves of that opportunity by focusing solely on the past. By all means do enjoy the bounty of ready made greatness available but don't miss out on the musical masters of our own time. You'll never get another today boys. With that in mind please check out Devin Townsend. Most reactors start with Kingdom live EMGtv but Id like to suggest reacting to Grace Live from the Retinal Circus. In my opinion it is his most important piece of work with the simple clear message: never fear love. The lyrics are simple, but the message is profound and the music is without question BRILLIANT! Do some reading if you must, you'll see that Devin Townsend has been called genious, truely entertaining to watch (seriously if you react to anything by him choose a live version) and one of the greatest performers of our time. His 25 year career speaks for itself. #DevinTownsend #HevyDevy

"Music was more meaningful in the 70s!" OK, the 70s had disco music and I would submit to you that the WHOLE point of disco music was to be meaningless dance music. The 70's songs that have longevity enough to still be relevant/recommended in 2021 are the ones with deep meanings (or simply the catchiest!), so your sample is a bit biased, know what I mean? I just Googled it, and according to discjockey.org, the 2nd most popular song of the entire 70s decade was YMCA by the Village People. I rest my case.
