Filming at night is always challenging but some of the most interesting activities on the rail network occur on the night shift.
These shots were filmed on the night time of 10th January 1994 on a cold and misty night in and around Immingham.
I remember the sea mist drifting in which made for some very atmospheric shots. There were also a few semaphores left kicking around and i tried to include those in the shots where ever possible.
My notes tell me that the scenes are
37701 departing immingham with a train bound for Coed Bach.
A shot of the crew of 60021 alighting after arriving from the steel works at Scunthorpe.
08466 arrives at the reception sidings.
An unidentified class 37 departs the reception sidings.
56095 departs Immingham with coal for Scunthorpe Steel works.
60059 travels light engine across the level crossing stops to pick up its shunter before pulling off to pick up its train.
37698 departs Immingham with an oil train bound for Gainsborough.
60059 eases its train away from Immingham and is reflected in a pool of water. The train of coal is bound for Hope.
37684 crosses the level crossing with the Immingham to Ripple Lane waste paper train.
