From one Dev (well DevOps) to another . . . awesome work! It's so fun seeing stuff like this. First it was CryoUtils now it's BSL-Tools. What a time to be alive!

I only dabble in dev this is my first official app that isn’t just some sort of powershell or RMM script for work haha. Thanks ! I had a lot of fun making it, learning to love development more. It’s like figuring out a series of puzzles and then reorganizing them over and over to be more efficient.

Thank you! I am trying but Lenovo is doing some annoying things with their power profiles! Haha.

Good stuff. Just recently got an Ally so been tinkering with it. Question about the CPU boost. If we uncheck it while on battery then won’t that hinder performance in some games or not really? Also, still confused on power profile. If we check it then we’re enabling it so it gets disabled? 😅
@baldsealion

If you're asking about Power Matching, Yes, on the plugged in, they are on by default, if you uncheck it, it will overwrite and turn off! I don't know "why" someone would want to do it, but the option is there. Ideally, you would want it On for your Performance/Turbo Un-Plugged Profiles - and just leave the Plugged In profiles with it enabled(as they are by default)

Great app! Would love a hot key to just Get / View the current profile without switching in newer versions of the software

Been requested a couple of times. Will include in next release! Always optional of course, all hotkeys can be skipped/not used

@@TECHOSAUR in the intro I have gta online for a few seconds showing my test on battery side by side with it in power savings(default) and max performance. Another game that benefits from this change is Elden Ring, likely many others but those are the two that were tested.

Could it work to boost Rpcs3?
@baldsealion

It might help - the boost is when on battery(it matches the power when plugged in) - I haven’t tried rpcs3 with it, it’s worth a shot!

@@baldsealion you mentioned different functions, i just want to match 30 watt when I'm on battery, what is the right option? Does everything back to normal status if I shut down the software?
@hagenhallgard8619

Just tested it when unplugged it gave me 30 watt just for a few time, as the battery got low in energy it got down in watts as well from 30 to 25 watts and after 5 minutes from 25 watts to 20 watts, tested it on Rpcs3.

BSL Tools is not saving settings after a reboot
@baldsealion
11 ай бұрын
So, the settings windows will always look the same, this is by design(for now) - example: When you open the "CPU Boost" window you will see that all the checkboxes are checked. When you change them(like unclick a few checkboxes) and click save, it will save the settings to a file, but when you open CPU Boost menu again, you will see all checkboxes are checked again, this is expected behavior - it doesn't currently "read" your settings and fill in the checkboxes appropriately. Sorry for the confusion.
