Watch as his body language shifts from confidence as he puts on the record to asks her ..Dance? & her reply sends him tumbling into a world of shyness & his hands move to their side like a frightened child. He removes his armour to let her in & show her he’s not a corporate show off. This is WORLD CLASS acting & a performance given by one of the industry greats. Adrian Lyn’es directing is flawless in this film. There are just so, so many subtle shifts in emotion as he narrates his childhood to Diana - I can remember the theatre full & you could have heard a pin drop it was so impactful. It’s priceless, as is the film itself.

Wrong! That's not shyness, that's a seducer in action spitting game.

I believe it is titled The Girl That Got Away in the movie's soundtrack. Unfortunately, it is not the actual version in the movie. I with they would include the exact version that is played in the scene. Studios sometimes do this with soundtracks and it is very unfortunate. The version in the movie is much better.
@@andrewdecarlostudios No the song is called "Subway Story and Dance". It is on my channel ☺

I cannot find it anywhere either, and the word crime really fits in this case. It is such an amazing piece of music the way it is played in the scene, but not included in the move's soundtrack. I have seen this happen with other movie soundtracks, where they don't include what is actually in the movie. Very frustrating and unfortunate.

Wish i could find this exact song from this scene. Its not on the movie playlists 😢 The way he dances with her was exactly like my dad danced. Still missing you dad 😪💜✝️
Do you remember the dress he bought for her that night on the ship? It was a dress with lots of buttons and a high neck. 100% he wants to regain his youth and sees Diana as the personification of his dream girl.

Someone told me about this scene moments ago because he or she read my post on another video. Something like this happened to me. Here's the post: ”I watched this movie (The English Patient) in the theater when it was released more than 20 years ago. I had just entered the University. I was accompanied by a girl who was taking a class with me. I saw her crying on more than one occasion. We were young and I didn't understand the value of those tears at that time. I let her go without telling her what she expected. Maybe I lost the love of my life and I didn't realize. When I wanted to look for her again, I just remembered her name. She had moved. I did not have her number. I had nothing. Those were not the times of Facebook. Today, whenever I watch this movie I remember her, the woman I never saw again, Rubi.”

Great scene,....the dialogue reminds me of another movie that escapes me. It was from one actor telling another about seeing a woman on a train (or subway...believe train) that he only saw once, but can remember and has so every day of his life since. Anyone know that scene and from which movie it was?

That was Citizen Kane. Mr. Bernstein recalls a girl he saw on the ferry in 1896, almost 50 years later "I only saw her for one moment, and she didn't see me at all. But, there isn't more than a week that goes by, that I don't think of that girl."
