Football rivalry’s meant something. Church on Sunday...Then, overnight(late 70’s), it was all boxed up and sent overseas. The arsons commenced. Families moved South. Small towns that were the fiber of this nation died. This is the biggest orchestrated conspiracy in our countries history. What country gives away its wealth like this!!??

The scheme is a way long process done by the multinationals. They want the biggest share of the pie and cost down to the smallest part of manufacturing. The result is that all the executives get rocketing up incentives for doing so while the Americans workers get underpaid. America do need rethinking the corporate values. How important it is for social responsibilities and community engagements. Make money and pile dollars in Ireland is what they did over the past decade.

And as our once reliable products were outsourced to people who not only cheapened the price, but the quality of product. For the almighty dollar to business, instead of the worker. To bless a communist society, over jobs in a free one. No we didn’t make that choice, a few chosen clowns did. When you parrot those same clowns views, it doesn’t make you wise, it makes you secondhand stupid. You couldn’t even do stupid on your own, you had to repeat some pathetic excuse by someone else for our jobs being gone. Heroic.

@Myla Starseed The ISSUES with capitalism is that WE ARE REAPING WHAT WE'VE SOWN... which is ENTIRELY FAIR!!! The lesson of socialism is that you reap what powerful people tell you to reap. They decide that your EXTRA EFFORT and EARNED RESOURCES should go to lazy people who decided NOT to work harder or more intelligently. The reason Chinese products are garbage is because it simply does not matter in their social/communist society if you do well. Daddy government decides for STUPID little you! Capitalism cannot compete when SELL-OUT DEMOCRATS allow those child labor produced products to compete with American products! Socialism always ends badly...always. ask the people.of the UNITED SOVIETS SOCIALIST REPUBLICS! Or ask Venezuela or Cuba why they need CAPITALIST HELP??? Yes, stand more than six feet away from everybody, and when you want to talk to them, don't. What this means is we have finally found a place for the socially inept, that is, you no longer speak AT ALL, you text instead. If you speak any, confine that to Skype; whatever that is. If you can't text at all, help reduce unemployment by hiring your very own texting secretary, or do like the chinese and just use somebody in the prison system. Wow, now that's being responsible! In one fell swoop you reduce the prison population and give employment stats a boost. And to think, I'll bet Bernie has just such a plan for us! Little did we know we had such an ample supply of slaves, I mean workers, to solve the corona crisis. We can call it the Just Don't Speak Policy.

If you bring manufacturing back to America, the price of goods will rise. People will not be able to afford basic goods and services. The whole reason we're in this situation is greedy corporations wanted more money. They outsourced your jobs so it could be made cheaper. Since everything was cheaper, they could suppress their worker's wages. Manufacturing won't come back because that would hurt the shareholders. And voting Republican means voting for capitalism and big business interests. Because they believe in letting the market do as it will and not intervening.

We never closed any border let alone borders. Preventing foreigners from China from traveling here was not a closed border. American citizens and legal residents could still return and did return on direct flights from China without quarantine and possibly no screening whatsoever. One group was quarantined and that was the highly visible group of American citizens who made their return through the US embassy not commercial travel. So there was no closed border with China. Especially without testing capabilities and protocols in place. One opportunity for the virus to arrive was too much opportunity. Secondly, there was no way Trump could have justified a Travel ban from other countries not yet infected, but if he was competent then he should have known through those countries the virus could take the long way around. We needed their cooperation to help further reduce risks. Trump never sought it. Trump boasts about gains in the stock market while ignoring the losses or blaming someone else for them. He boasts about his "travel ban" ever single press update. There is no way he took prudent actions behind the scenes that he won't inform us about now. Trump put up a piece of swiss cheese that he called a travel ban then put a fork in it. It was the response of someone who has no capacity to lead. Now it's just not possible to not get it and finally since last Friday he has been doing some things more consistent with a Pandemic response. They are too late to avoid economic disaster, but hopefully not too late to avoid a human catastrophe.

Angry. This virus is a different beast, mainly because of its asymptomatic capability of infection. And, dare I say it, might've been created in a bio-lab. Look up the phrase "gain of function testing" if you want to really get pissed off.

The USA is so dependent on many countries but the reality of the matter is that the rich sector corporations have sold out their own country! Yet Americans blame their demise on other causes.

Really great analysis, Laura. Thank you! We could flatten China by bringing all critical manufacturing back to America ASAP. I think at this point most Americans are willing to pay a few cents more on products if we make everything here. 🇺🇸

The President has been talking about the problems due to outsourcing our manufacturing since before he was even a candidate. Now, everyone can see and appreciate his opinion on that and having a secure border. Americans will unite behind this now they’ve been made painfully aware what it feels like to be beholden to a country that wants to conquer us.

@Fecal Matter Acts of loving one's neighbour are not something one talks about, it is something one does. Rather than deride others for not doing what you would like them to do, which you know nothing about incidentally, I would suggest you just quietly get on with it yourself.

Lesson number one: Never allow flights from a country who currently has a pandemic, in this case China. Spanish Conquistadors conquered the world given indigenous people blankets infected with ChikentPox. A lesson that CDC had never learned.
