Thank you so much. Being honest, I had some of these ideas in my mind. They were hiding, or they were big and messy. I work as a planning engineer in construction, and in project management we have a WBS which means work breakdown structure. Here I can apply it as well, because this video just broke everything I knew into smaller and eatable pieces, so I started realising and understanding the concept and ways to look at what I am doing and want to do. And here I think I have an idea to remix art, social media and my knowledge in planning. Many thanks!

Guy at 41:50 asked a question about applying the Big/Small to more abstract concepts and ideas. I have a few examples that may apply. Pricing: - you could take a product that has a typical price and drastically increase or decrease your pricing (a $1000 burger or a $50 car). Length or duration of content: - reduce an entire book down to 1 page, turn a short poem into a full length movie. Resolution: - reduce famous paintings down to 50x50 pixels, film an entire movie in 50x50 Speed: - timelapse of an extremely long process, slow mo a lightning strike Volume: - what does an insect sound like when extremely amplified? There's definitely many more if you isolate factors that can be measured on a scale; you can just take things from one side of the scale to the other (intensity, density, space, temperature?, sharpness, distance, weight, etc.)

I remember a student asking a tutor in our animation class if 2D animation would be replaced by 3D. Can’t remember the response he got, but what I instantly thought in my head was, well, books will always be 2D, the natural world continues to use 2D patterns to visually communicate. If I take an animation studio, like The Line, each production they make is so fresh and unique, they’d need many lifetimes before running out of ideas

This is amazing! 1. I am testing my content on Instagram and after 25+ carousels I am slowly understanding my audience likes and dislikes. 2. The ability to test content on Twitter was an eye-opener for me. 3. The Quora and Reddit Idea is something I will try. 4. I struggle with doing niche content as I get bored with it and I find the freedom of posting about different things more fulfiling. The way I am testing the niche is it is "content for designer", it may or may not be about design. I exploring to comedy as well, let's see where it goes. 5. I love the wide-angle shot that slowly slides, very subtle but definitely adds to the experience. 6. I really appreciate that you did a 100 mins video on this. Loved it. #TogetherToTheFutur

Madir Thir these types of stories go all the way back to the OT. The Nephelun (sp?) are mentioned In Genesis as angels who found the daughters of man beautiful and they disguised themselves as human and the women bore their offspring. It’s an interesting conveyor think that the Geek gods may have been inspired by reality.

The average person has never been so poor. Millions of families are struggling financially as living expenses hit the highest levels in more than four decades. Over 60% of our country lives paycheck to paycheck and about 40% earns poverty wages. Even after working all their lives, more than a quarter of older people have no savings and many believe they will never be able to retire in dignity, while around 55% of elderly people try to survive on an income of less than $25,000 a year

I've noticed that the most creative people, the people who make the best work (in my opinion), are always mentioning what or who inspired them, and usually citing multiple references (and often times obscure). The people I've met who seem to be the unhappiest with why they're not getting the "likes" and interest with their work, always seem to be the ones who never credit others, who never look for inspiration elsewhere and either (a) copy directly or (b) try to be too "original."

There are basically 7 major story plots and Shakespeare has done them all. So, all stories are derivative of each other or at the very least Shakespeare. Same with music. There are a finite number of notes with countless combinations so there is bound to be overlap when you hear songs. It's the ones that learn to do it differently that stand out. Same notes as everyone else, they just arranged them in a different way. The same can be done with design. You can have the same reference but have a number of different interpretations of that same thing. And that's where you are different even though it's the same thing. Everything is derivative of something, that's history. It's how we shape it and change it that makes innovation in whatever we're working in.

Love these whiteboard secessions. Please consider doing the following; the audio overall level of your stream is lower than the adds surrounding it. Chris’s mic is also lower than the HH, partly due to the mic type(and maybe the gain or compression). HH’s are larger than headset mics, so they generally sound more full and rich compared to the headset mic. The level difference also amplifies that difference. I’m guessing you’re using a 70-200mm on the primary closeup camera for the whiteboard/chris? Adding a Lens with a servo will help with the jaring zooms in the middle of the broadcast. I use Sony FS5’s with their 28-135mm, but there are many 4/3 options or even canon full frame options if you can afford it. You could have your team on walkies or Com’s and try not to have active zooms with your current lens on air by having your technical director call when cam’s are live. You could rearrange chairs so we can see all of the audience when asking questions. And finally, a cheap and easy way to light up a group of people would be a china ball. Your lighting for Chris is solid, but your audience is sometimes dark or in the shadows a bit. Hope this feedback is helpful. I’d love to do a free consultation of your setup if you find my feedback helpful :) I do live streams in Southern California (Amgen, Proactiv, Honda, Petco, Herbalife) and have been moving from freelancing to having my own business doing the same. I would love to give back to the channel that I’m learning from the most.

This only works because you already have a large account. On a smaller account, the results wouldn't be anywhere near as impressive. I'd also be interested to see how the carousel could be adapted for a feed that is more focused on aesthetics. A text post doesn't work for everybody. I don't like how they look and the text carousels don't work for my niche.
@robynleesamuels
4 жыл бұрын
Travel bloggers and some lifestyle accounts I follow use photo carousels. So instead of 1 image they share a few images (it needn't be 10), like an album (about today) or behind the scenes (like how this image was shot) or a some other way that tells a story with more than one image. Your caption then connects the dots. When I read posts like that I actually go back and swipe through the images and go oh that's cool. Some people add a little video at the end too. @JasmineStar does it some times. I'm trying to think of someone else who does the same. I'll come back and leave more suggestions. But it's possible.
@robynleesamuels
4 жыл бұрын
Carousels do increase engagement. The scale is smaller for smaller accounts, of course, but you do grow. I've seen more comments and overall engagement and my audience is diversifying too. Trying to find your groove and your style and something that works takes time. It takes trial and error. But keep going. Keep trying. Play around with things.

I have a core group that I think enjoys my content and my writing, But I just can't break through to the other side. I've been struggling to find a lane, and a focus. Am I trying to help other writers write better? Am I just selling my own book? Am I trying to design for writers? On the one hand I just want to make my art and content but I know it's not sustainable for growth. I absolutely love the idea of beta testing content and the drop and give me 20.
