I'm doing a 66 c10 that basically needs all the lower sheet metal including the entire floor and kick panels. Your videos are extremely helpful in how the sheet metal goes back in place and fitting and welding it back into place. Keep up the good work and thank you.

I am doing a 1967 C10 SBSC and it is in bad shape, I tried replacing the bottoms of the passenger side door with complete failure, so I ordered doors and a radiator support, fixing to tackle rockers and into the floor pan , 6X as bad as what you got....(virtually non existent)...thanks for taking the time to post these.... I wasn't successful with the doors but I am hoping to be better with the cab...

Very nice work!! If you need to do the other side, please show us some tight shots of welding the rocker to the front and rear door jambs. Were those all plug welds also and no "seam" welding?? I was hoping you would show us a closeup of those finished areas. Must be very satisfying ending up with such a great improvement. Enjoy!!!

I know this is old video but very nice work I have a question about your weather strip flange I noticed it doesn’t stick out as far as the original I’m going through the same process right now and struggling with that problem wether I slit it and put some 1/8th inch filler rod in it or leave it stair stepped. Do you have any tips, will it matter at I worsened about something I don’t need to be since it’ll be cover?
@Gibson63.
2 жыл бұрын
I didn’t have any problem with putting the weatherstripping on after I install these panels but it wouldn’t hurt to do the 8 inch filler rod

simply fascinating watching you work. Question: is it harder to do this on a 70's or 80's truck? or is it about the same? Thanks!
@Gibson63.

Should be the same as far as cutting and welding I've just never done anything on the 70s or 80s

When you epoxy first, then do your body work... Do you have to scuff the epoxy before you apply your filler, or does it bond to the epoxy without scuffing it?
@Gibson63.
6 жыл бұрын
Yes I scuff the epoxy down then do filler on top

Question. I may have to replace a rocker on mine. Wont really know until I get it sandblasted in the next few weeks. But, at the top of the rocker, where it rests over the A and B pillars, did you weld across that joint? Or just leave it for seam sealer?
@Gibson63.
7 жыл бұрын
Matt Key I'll do seam sealer around the top after I do the body work,I didn't weld around the seam
@tHeClOsEr15
7 жыл бұрын
I went back and looked and saw you plugged welded about 1" from that seam. So that answered my question. Where do you order your metal from? and what site/brands seem to fit the best.
@Gibson63.
7 жыл бұрын
Matt Key I've always used Classic parts for all my patch panels you'll still have to tweak them in a little but that's just the way it goes on these old truck
