I was excited to see the numerous Instant Pot yogurt videos until I checked mine out and found it didn’t have a yogurt setting. I checked out the videos and found this one. Thank you so much for the simple instructions using the sauté setting. I know not to use homogenized milk and I love Chobani Whole Milk yogurt, but the price is becoming a factor these days. So the next step is make my own.

I don't think there's any advantage to using the instapot (when it doesn't have a "yogurt" function). I do these same steps in a regular pan. Obviously if you prefer using the IP, go for it. But I just throw my milk in a thermal container for the fermenting step. Or a jar in a thermal bag, etc.

I set my timer for 24 hours instead of 8 hours. I don't have to strain it. I never have more than a teaspoon of whey. ';D

All the milk sold in the stores in the US IS ALREADY PASTEURIZED. That is the law. So, why do you need to boil it again?

Try making yogurt with warm milk, you will see how runny and gooey it turns out. Yea gallon milk is already pasteurized but making it hot and then cooling to certain temperature sets the yogurt better

Do you set the sautee temp at low, medium or high? You didn't specify and I was unable to determine from the buttons as the camera waved around. I'm new to IP, so thanks much for the video!

@@noelbecker7002 I just watched this video I think it's set on Normal. So saute button and then press adjust button till the light goes on normal. I want to try this also. My IP doesn't have a yogurt button.

Bless your heart! Do you have a channel that we can make rude comments on? Proud of this momma for showing folks how to make things while doing real work of childrearing. I had NO problem hearing her instructions.
