That "view hidden geometry" trick to allow the "intersect with ..." command to use that hidden geometry is 🤯! Thanks!

Thank you for this video.Often my students ask about it also because they want to hide something and a warning text says that"hits a hidden geometry" and when it happens I explain the same trick. One thing which is always not very clear is the use of "intersect with the model" or "Intersect with the context".A video on that and also about shortcuts would be useful.Thank you for your work.Have a nice day.Greetings from Italy.

I'd like to throw this in the ring. I don't use components as often as I should so maybe everyone already knows this (or I'm in error) but scaling doesn't seem to affect comps so there's no need to make a slew of uniques. So using comps and scale might be simpler than intersect (at least for this example). When you come to first board to be angle cut make only that one unique (or else all previous comp boards will take on this angle cut board's character). Cut the angle then go thru regular routine to make multi-copies of angle cut board. The other end of these new boards will have stairstep appearance but now use scale function to make each of them proper length. Making that one board unique wouldn't have even been necessary if there hadn't already been boards with straight ends that were previously used. Does this make sense or work for anyone?

Hi! Could you have selected all the boards and then Intersect with Model in one click?

Unfortunately, the way this model was set up, each board was a separate group, requiring a separate trim. To optimize, I COULD have grouped boards for a single trim.

Maybe to go quickly you can use a shortcut to avoid to select intersect with model.... But just use the keyboard. Can't you ?

Hi Guys, There is a new feature to the move/copy tool in Pro 2021 where it "STAYS IN" copy mode after you have copied something. I find this "feature" very cumbersome. It is has been a real pain in the neck (for me). Maybe there is a way to switch the feature off? Maybe you can do a U-Tube video to show us use it? Thanks John

Vidéo sympa ! Est-ce que quelqu'un sait comment convertir des noeuds Autocad en PointCloud pour que SketchUp les reconnaisse ? Je dois utiliser un relevé de géomètre pour modéliser un terrain existant Merci ! :-) Nice video! Does anyone know how to convert Autocad nodes to PointCloud for SketchUp to recognize them? I have to use a surveyor survey to model an existing land Thank you :-)
