J.C Crowley was also a lead singer in the original PLAYER. Remember THIS TIME IM IN IT FOR LOVE ??

They used to play this song at the Dentists office I went to back in 1979. It put me at ease along with the nitrous oxide😀😀😀

Our band learned BabyCome Back when it first hit the charts. It fit our band very well and it was the most requested song for quite awhile.

Many of the so-called musician/artists of today. I would say have come a lot closer to being an overnight success. Peter Beckett, Player, Ambrosia, Little River Band etc. payed dues that they will never be expected pay as times have changed, the world has evolved. Without realizing it newer artists sometimes take some things for granted without meaning to. As for me I really appreciate Peter Beckett, and his way of being humble and genuine. I wish the 70's would (musical/talent) repeat itself - kimie

I had all the albums from Player to their 4th album Spies of life. They broke up for 13yrs. Then Beckett /Moss resurfaced as Player with Lost In reality and Too many reasons. But I liked J.C Crowley as a singer too especially on Come on out and This time Im in it for love. He left after their 2nd album Danger Zone for country music and never was replaced as a singer or writer and the band tanked without him.

When Player came on the scene my head was into other music. Certainly I enjoyed Baby Come Back but as far as listening to them at that time... I didn't have an interest. A year or so back I ran into some of their stuff and now have been a big fan since. I love all their albums from back then.... boy I MISSED OUT by not listening to them then. I had an employee that would work for 6-10 months and then just fall off the radar and I would play that song using their name instead of Baby. After a few months they would cycle back through again and I would crank that song up in the shop and we would get to laughing again. They just recently bailed out a third time on me and I now no longer play that song... though its STILL a GREAT song. John, keep the interviews coming as I enjoy every one so far!!!

Howdy from Fort Worth, Texas, Peter! I love the Player video of 'Baby Come Back' where you play your ebony ES335(?) which like you're playing live. Is that a chorus pedal you're using on the main riff?...What a line-up for the Dayton show! Geez, I'd love to be there. So glad you're doin' ok, Peter! Keep on rockin,' bro!
