Andrew is exactly what he seems in person. I saw and spoke to him at a couple shows some years back, and he always took the time to speak to me.

That is about the best example of “trickle-down” technology I’ve ever seen. Nicely done, Andrew!

He’s such a nice man and generous with his time answering questions. I’m hoping for something a step up from the SP10 next, maybe a big kickass floorstanding model. I say this not even having broken in my 10s yet.

I would L O V E to hear them. Based on Andrew's successful design/ performance with the 10's (not to mention virtually everything he's designed) I'm betting these 8's will be pretty good and maybe exceed many other various monitor box speakers in the $3K to $6K range !?!

If you can ask Andrew next week, is he thinking of a 6 or 6.5 inch LS50 match for $2k? One that might be stand alone. Or used with a sub. Many of us already have one or more subs. Thanks

After owning the ls50 metas and hearing the sourcepoint 8’s and 10’s this weekend, I don’t know how a smaller version than the 8 makes business sense. The ls50 exists and has been acknowledged worldwide. The 8 is a big step up in many aspects, especially in low end extension. Yea they present different than the ls50, but again, the ls50 exists so why replicate?

The sound was consistent from model to model. The simplicity of their look.. love it! Aside from being blown away by the sound quality of the concentric driver. The price blew my mind.. especially since there are single speakers the price of a pair of 10's. Imo these were among the best sounding at Axpona this year. Andrew did an amazing job on the SP10's. He was knowledgeable and funny. These made the biggest impression on me from the show. The value is insane! I am now planning to have a pair of these in a room near me for regular visits.

You can use them as a center now. They are coming up with an adapter for the stands to lay sideways.

BUT! The FR in the data sheet is quite the worst I ever seen in a coax driver! See here : sbacoustics.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/75-SATORI-MT19CP-4-GRAFIK.jpg So how do you managed to give cone & dome a much different curve? Price & Looks are gorgeous on the Sourcepoint 8 , but if the SBA - Coax is available only in the (old) current state I see trouble ahead for us!

Imagine FR at the listening position for any speaker you want to compare. It's never going to be the anechoic response anyway and it's the easiest to fix with EQ or speaker placement.
