Been researching those flex waves recently for my room but they measure to be a little too deep. They look great for an office as they show on their site. Those treatments were featured on Darkos room build.

Thank you. Yes, some of the acoustic treatments at the show were the same used at Darko's room. The Flexi Wave was designed to improve the acoustics and decor of any setting, including offices.

The time when you are discussing Dan D'Agostino gear and the actual Dan D'Agostino (the man) walks into the frame @ 2:48 with VPI's Mat Weisfeld and he/they do not get acknowledged 🤔☺😉

I don't know them personally, but know who they are. These shows are a bit different than most. They are mainly here to do business with distributors, so I usually wait for any to engage me.
@LetThereBeSound1
Жыл бұрын
@@AudiophileJunkie Gotcha. Oh and I am not suggesting you should have engaged them at that time. That would have been rude as they were clearly conducting some business or at least a one-on-one demonstration (as in Mat clearly demonstrating the new VPI product to Dan) However it would have been cool if you have said something like: "Hey check this out! Dan D'Agostino "The Man" just walked into my shot. How cool is that folks?" That's what I meant. It just felt a bit odd that a company principal would walk into your shot and it gets zero recognition. You may know who he is (if you had noticed him, I guess) but I bet many watching this video, do not. But it's all good. Keep up the good work man! Wish I were there. Perhaps next year!

Did you notice that while commenting on the Wilson's colors you had Dan Dagostino founder of Krell and Dagostino Audio and Matt Westfield CEO VPI in frame? Bit of a missed interview opportunity.

I get that this is a trade show for the very highest echelons of the hobby, but Canjam NYC had a much younger demographic, including female enthusiasts under 40 years of age. Of course, that's a gathering where anything over 20K USD has tongues wagging - Nordost would perish at the thought of even getting on a plane for THAT clientele ;)

General public has Saturday and Sunday to them, all open. Regarding static vs playing, there are different areas, as the show room is huge...there are many, many rooms playing...perhaps you still haven't gotten there due to the size of the show...

Isn't it a little odd that Perlisten's $18K speakers are the ones playing in the same room as Wilson's $330K flagships?! - Btw nice find on the VIcoustics Jason, I too like that design.

It's interesting to see Velodyne back in the business after so many of us got left high and dry when they decided to leave the business before. Knowing Vicoustic those panels are probably more expensive than much of the gear.
@Vicoustic1

With gear at those high prices? Vicoustic can't be that expensive. And a good acoustic treatment adds much more quality even in a room with entry-level equipment. Do a research on it and you will see.

The guy at 3:39 a little too serious...lol Haven't seen Velodyne around in forever. Back in the day I had Miller and Kriesel (M & K ) I think they were called in push pull configuration for movies. They were a good alternative to Velodyne crazy prices.
