I have the 87 PRX tune on my 2015 Mustang v6 and I absolutely love it. thanks MPT now we have it for EcoBoost cars nice.

Have the 87 tow tune for a year awesome tune for towing trailer I just got the 87 PRX is awesome I love it. I like how it feel like 91 PRX but little bit slower of course.

You can always run a higher octane in that 87 tune.

I just got a 22 f150 3.5 and it has a slight stutter when I’m in the higher gears and I just barely get back on the gas. Would this eliminate that?

Could be plugs, could be something else. Tuning will feel night and day different though.

I have this tune and the 93prx tune. I use the 87 daily/tow a lot. One because of gas prices. Two because I have a boat. I have a cp-e Intercooler, Roush air intake,4” mbrp exhaust. For an 87 tune I’m really impressed. It’s a perfect every day tune. The drivability is spot on in my opinion

Had a 5 start tune with 93, it was better then stock but sadly they could not fix my shifting issues. Bought a Mpt-87 since gas prices sky rocketed, after a few revision they fix it and the truck feels so much lighter.

I recently bought a stock 2017 F150 3.5 EB. When I test drove it at 25 mph I hit the gas and churped the tires. The truck flew like this for about the first two weeks and now, although it runs fine- no codes and normal boost psi, the acceleration is notably less. Maybe the 1/2 tank in the truck when I bought it was 93? Dunno but I'm going to try with the next fill and see if the thrill returns. I'd like to go with an 87 tune but I'm pretty sure my extended warranty would be void with any tune.

If in doubt, ask your dealer how they feel about tunes. Can tell you for sure, with an MPT tune, you'll be flying full time. ;-)

So I bought my Gen 1 from a dealer. It already had a fmic, 3" turbo back, cat delete exhaust, and a stage 2 cai from AFE. It came tuned from a Company I'm CT named Proedge Tuning. Not sure what it's tuned for and they won't return my calls. I talked briefly with the previous owner and he said it's a straight 93 custom tune. It spikes to 20-21 psi drops off to about 17-18. What do I need to do to get an MPT PR-X tune?

What gains are you guys getting out of the gen 2 3.5's on the 87 prx tune? I currently have another brand tune in my f150 but you guys seem to have some good options so im thinking of switching to mpt. Could I use my current sct tuner? Thanks

At that low of an octane you have to manage expectations a bit, but it still feels really good. About 50HP, along with improved throttle response and shifting. Even if there weren't any power gain, our throttle response and shifting can really wake up the truck. It's still a complete engine and transmission calibration.

I have had the 93pro on my first gen for 4 years now. I switched to the 87 tune for the first time a few months back for a tank of gas and then back to the 93 pro. My 93 tune doesn't feel the same and I only see 18psi Max now? Did my truck get stuck in the 87 tune?

If you're still having this issue, you want to reach out to us more directly via e-mail or phone, like a reply to the e-mail where you got that tune. Without knowing more, I'd say a good start would be to load the 93 octane tuned to the vehicle again, make sure you have it good tank of nice 93 octane fuel, and record a datalog replicating the issue. That's assuming that the truck is otherwise running well, without stumbling and struggling, and without any trouble codes or check engine lights. If you have more than 50K on your spark plugs, it might also be a good idea to put in a fresh set since they're so easy to do on these trucks.

I know its an older video but just starting to research tuning options for my 18 expedition with the 3.5 EB engine. If i got the 87 daily tow and 87 PRX tune for the cheaper gas prices but occasionally wanted to run some 91 or 93 through it, would i see noticeable improvements in HP/torque figures or would it be negligable withput the specific 91/93 tune setup?

Yes, a lot of this applies to the 2.7L. For each tune we're building, you get to choose the fuel (87, 91, 93, or ethanol blend) and type of tune. The main two are Performance Race Xtreme and Daily Tow. They're both performance tunes, covering both engine and transmission. PRX for all-out performance, just can't tow with it. Daily Tow is a bit less aggressive, great for everyday driving whether towing or not, usually with some improvement to fuel economy. Recommend getting both (even if you don't tow) in the highest octane available to you. All MPT tunes are built to order, taking into account your modifications(if any). There will be a tune form after purchase where you'll fill in vehicle info and choose fuel, tune type.

It's still a complete calibration of the engine and transmission together, which makes a world of a difference for making this vehicle more responsive and drivable in all conditions.

Yes! All of our tunes are worth it. Just remember though you aren't going to get the same power as you would on 93 Octane.
