For the rollers to split the coils. If you put a resistance on the binded center wires to ground you can remove part of one of the coils signal. That is how prs simulates a tap on their pots. Back in the '70s lots of people would do that on an added pot.

Isn’t Puisheen back at Mike + Mike’s? Anyhow… the Jaguar is my favorite guitar… i have a parts Jag made from a VM neck, metallic midnight blue painted CV body, upgraded wiring and Q vintage correct pickups, along with a Staytrem bridge and AVRI vibrato.

He was…then he left again. Not entirely sure why, but I guess he went solo again. Sounds like you have a killer Jaguar! I had a VM jag with a Staytrem Bridge and Fender PV 62 pickups…it was so good

I got the KC jag in 2020. After I set it up Its great. Locking tuners and a truss rod adjustment. I was maybe thinking about the mastery bridge but its a little too expensive right now. Is it worth it??

It’s not cheap, but I’ve loved mine. I also had the staytrem which was a lot cheaper and it was good as well!

And speaking of modern jaguars like the american pro, the johnny marr or the player jaguar, they wasn't even my cup of tea and I miss the rythmn and lead circuit a lot including the strangle switch. For some normal players it seemed complicated controls but they aren't and I found the johnny mar etc one more complicated to control😔 And let's talk about the colors where is fiesta red or my favorite olympic white one, mostly boring 3 tone sunburst and a another color like blue or copper red one, like the johnny marr got. I miss also here the crazy color variations of the jaguar in the fender line up. The new vinter II Jaguar got blockinlays and looks more different which I appreciate, same goes to the vintera II jazzmaster🙂

Whenever people say the Jaguar is too complex, I go, how on earth do you use a pedal board, computer, smartphone, etc. It's really simple!

@@ZachariahConnor srsly the controls of a normal jaguar is easy as fuck, I found it more confusing on modern player versions or the johnny marr one🤔

Let be honest here, The Jaguar is the most underated Guitar in History and I'm glad I own a crafted in Japan one from 2002-2004 and I can play it with this one more than on a strat. Also I love the different tonalities the Jaguar can have🙂

@@ZachariahConnor I love my olympic white japanese jag, but it got some humming issues if I switch to lead circuit with all the settings off. The Humming is also appearing when I active the bass cut with some light distortion/overdrive and also on some setting in the volume knob, it needed to be fix. Same goes for the bridge and the tremolo system. I got a tune o-matic roller bridge which is ok and by far better than the og jag bridge. But I also want to modify the jag with a chrome bridge cover and the legendary string mute. It's unnecessary but I love it😆Tone wise the japanese jag is so damn good and it's my number one guitar, beside of my Frankenstein Tele. I use my jag also on my improvisation and records on my channel😃

men when I hear about the new vintera I was really expecting a new Jag with block inlays and matching headstock like a. (fender jaguar 1966 fiesta red), and the really didnt bring rosewood to any model , thats a really good way to kill the jaguar sales, not everyone likes maple frets :(

@@ZachariahConnor The new vintera jag looks really interesting with the mapleneck and the black colored body. To me a more fresher color experience than 3 tone freaking sunburst🤔

I don't think fender has had jazzmaster pickups in anytbi g other customs shop and the squir 40th anniversary. Those v mod and most other fender jazzmaster are overwound strat pickups. The ones in the jaguar and jazzmaster are basically the same but in the proper looking covers/base plates.
@ZachariahConnor

Yeah v-mods are not very vintage accurate.

I don't want to wreck your head Zach but you need to pronounce the 'U' in Jag 'u' ar. So it's said/ spoken Jag - you - are...The same spoken sound as👄 Jag - u - r [not like you & many other Americans seem to say Jag- wah] Please don't take offence mate my pronunciation advice is coming from a good place 🙂

@@ZachariahConnorWOW mad one🤯... I always 💭 u where from the Pacific Northwest... didn't realize your a Texan 🤠. By the way Zach I'm surprised that u didn't mention the Modern Player Jaguar in this 📹. That was how I got onto your KZitem channel a couple of years ago when I stumbled across across a 📹 of u enthusing over your Modern Player Marauder with it's triple-bucker pickup in the bridge & if I remember correctly u swapped out & then back in, one of its other pick-ups. But yeah the modern player Jaguar's came in 3 colour variations...The transparent red being my favourite ~ really nicely weighted ⚖️ slab mahogany body with X 2 single coils in the form of Fender MP90 's pickups (which have since become all the rage 🎉🔥 & highly sort after 💯 since the release of the Fender Noventa series 🎸's a few years ago. Just like the Modern Player Marauder & Starcaster the Jaguars are becoming hard to find & collectable. And just like the early Japanese made or should I say crafted Fenders of the 80's these Chinese crafted Fender's from 2011/2 are really well made with outstanding quality control... Just check them out on Reverb.com ( last time I looked every-one of them which had been bought/sold had received a 5 ⭐ review). Anyways my Texan friend have a great weekend...😀

@@chicachicawahwah6032 well I was born in Texas but live in Oregon haha. My mom grew up in the Dallas area. Yeah I suppose I forgot to mention stuff prior to 2017 as much, but this video was long enough haha. And yes there are a few Japanese made Jaguars still! I just put the triplebucker back in the Marauder…I can’t make up my mind haha
