So if-- - I thought it was gonna be an EV. - Exactly, so you guys heard it here first, just a few episodes back, and Chip, I don't remember if you were on that episode or not, the new CEO of Jeep was considering adding ice to the Recon, shaken, not stirred, of course. - So that would make it a hybrid instead of a total EV, or they're taking it and making it a total ice vehicle? - No, and the story we did before, it was you could get it as an EV, or you can get it as an internal combustion engine. So it's either or, not both, at least that's the story that I remember, and I didn't see anything to detract from that in this story that we found. - So logic and facts seems to be gaining popularity in the automotive industry. Could it be true, Chip?
- But that they're logical, I don't know. - They're actually thinking these things through? - The fringe is gone now, but I have the utmost respect for them. The stories that Greg tells about the fringe and helping make decisions within Jeep, like the Rubicon, I mean, just, so yeah, you wonder,
what were they thinking, right, when they designed some of these vehicles? But logic and facts. - Well, unfortunately, or fortunately, they're thinking about making money. And obviously the EV thing is the big buzz term or buzzwords for, especially for the US government. And it's also very popular in Europe. So the world is wanting EV, even if it doesn't make sense to do it. - So that's, so logic and facts, right? So you said they wanna make money, and then you talk about electric vehicles, that those don't go together. - Well, not unless you're a very few electric vehicle makers. There are a few EV makers out there that are making money, and every vehicle that they sell, they make money on, and they're not, you know, $300,000. So it can be done, but apparently the big corporations like Stellantis and Ford and who else? Well, not Dodge Ram, because that's Stellantis. - You want me to say Rivian? I don't know whether they're making money or not. - No, I don't think they are. In fact, I think there may be a possibility that Rivian may go bye-bye within the next couple of years. They're having, definitely having issues getting money for their company. I think they've run through several cash investor type things, big layouts of money. It does appear to be a very nice vehicle. It looks like it's very well designed, but unfortunately, I think that the big manufacturers out there like Ford are having an issue because they're trying to build it like it's the same vehicle they've been building for 150 years and just doing it a little different instead of thinking of ways that they can design the EV a whole different way. And I think that's what's causing them issues. - Well, maybe, but if I were, I've got a Ford F-150 that's a company truck. I've got the rest of our fleet pretty well. I've got a GMC pickup that's my toter vehicle that I pull my trailer with my Jeep.
