I rode for 45 years. Never had the idea to join a MC even though two of their clubhouses were in my neighborhood. To me, the ultimate experience of a motorcycle was meeting up with a few buddies and hitting the backroads for an all day scoot. No politics, no pressure, no fees and never looking over your shoulder at law enforcement. Ride safe !

Short answer: NO. Long answer: RICO, always looking over your shoulder (other clubs, alphabet gang, back-stabbing "brothers"), mandatory commitments other than riding. Hell no.

I have a real family, and don't need fake "brotherhood". That being said, im in an owners "club" which is very much NOT a MC. Still get to ride, do rallies, shoot the shit with like-minded people, and have zero drama.

Depends on the club or type of club. Not all clubs are about drama, money, etc. We have plenty of older brothers. I'd like to believe we have a good balance of club/personal life. We don't put the club over everything. Family and work come first, the club will still be there when your done dealing with your personal life.

I started riding in the late '60s, and although I've been a loner for the 51yrs I've been riding, I hung around with a national club all through the '80s, until things started going to shit when younger guys started getting in. Everything used to happen naturally, and that's why things went so well for so long, but now we're living in an unnatural world where everything is just a cheap imitation of yesterday, with people just going thru the motions of what used to be, because no one knows how to be real.anymore.

You were riding when I was learning to walk. Born in ‘67 and raised on a farm in backwoods North Carolina, I knew something out there was waiting for me. I left that farm in ‘84, seventeen years old and riding a hardtail, chopped out Sportster. Construction was booming at the time and work was easy to find. Being by myself, I could sleep almost anywhere. An old barn or under a bridge was fine with me, had a military mummy style sleeping bag and a duffel bag for my clothes. A snub-nose 38 Special was within reach in case of dogs or other dangers. I rode from coast to coast, not caring much about anything. Ì came home some years later, right before my grandparents died. They passed within three weeks of each other. Long story short, I traveled all over this big country solo, and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Do things your own way!!!

0nce again it all boils down to one common denominator EGO. Brotherhood does exist in groups anymore. It is all about the individual and not group. Brotherhood is made and forges in hard times and the rare good times. Now people will roll on you quicker then you can blink. I heard this comment once from a gang member "that the biggest danger to a Latin king is a Latin king" It is true all across the board. The greatest danger comes from within. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Give me two or three liked my individuals to ride with or not. Freedom is just a throttle twist away. I dont always agree you but that is a fact of life you are never going to always agree. The think I respect about you is that you are not Willy Wonka. You dont sugar coat shit. The other problem with today's society is People dont want to hear what they need to hear. They want to hear only what they want to hear.

One of the problems in clubs is there are a lot of people who have the idea of “What does the club do for me?” Instead of “What value do I bring to the club”. Just my opinion.

Gotta agree with you about the age thing. I'm almost 60 and I just retired from my MC after years and years. I was getting into fights with the new, younger, members that have no respect for the older members. Plus the money, the having to earn, the mandatory commitments, the police profiling. I'm out good so I get to keep my vest and patch and all the memories that go along with it, but it does feel good to just enjoy riding without any politics. No more no-fly zones. No more NO COLORS events. No more politics. etc P.S.- Yes, I was one of those rare women who was let into an MC.

One last thing before I don’t say anything else remember this motorcycle clubs in the 60s 50s and 40s we were founded by members that were lifetime friends. They already had their problems. They already had their their orders were already set with them with each other. They were there for each other through thick and thin already when you join the club it’s recruiting recruiting members recruiting members May not fit in but ask questions. Ask a lot of questions and make up your mind what you want to get out of the club what you want to get out of the club isn’t there you shouldn’t join any club or anything in this life for that matter because these clubs don’t provide you anything except for what you put in Well that’s what I hear all the time. That’s not true anymore. If you don’t look a certain way feel if you don’t fit in their box and which I don’t have a problem with that island it’s ridiculous. They wanna play gangster run around like problems and stuff and there’s not having sit down with clubs that don’t even know what there’s a problem it’s just dumb. It’s like part-time fucking But I’m disappointed really really disappointed. It’s crap the shit they’re selling think about it. Who’s benefiting from all this money that you’re putting down who’s benefiting is it a club that says that don’t ask? What can you do for your club and what you’re here for who’s benefiting from that, the cops are in the ranks. I am sorry, but I’m one percent person. I don’t like cops when I have a CEO is a cop former cop as a cop don’t belong in MC culture if cops ran as a cop stand for up against the freaking indictment see what happens. I’ll tell you what’s gonna happen. Everybody that he everything he knows is gonna come out because they’re gonna snitchloyalty is giving your life to something and be willing to sacrifice all for everything. Well if there’s nothing to be loyal for you’re not gonna get loyal members boom mic drop

I think it can be worth it especially if you have something to bring to the club and others can benefit and you present yourselves as a strong pillar in your community. In my club there’s several business owners who hire in the club and we have a scholarship fund for the local kids. And we support each other families, birthdays graduations, funerals (pallbearers) etc.

Your videos provide good insight to the pros and cons of the MC world but at times leaves me wondering about specific examples, or details. Your forthrightness is real without beating around the bush and is appreciated. Please consider doing a video which explains the daily/weekly detailed activities of an average MC member starting from dawn to dusk. In other words specifically describe WHAT an MC member would actually be doing during any given day? We know "riding" would not likely consume much of that time, so what are they "actually doing" which may/may not necessarily repeat itself each day? Such a video would provide clear general knowledge of what is in a day of an MC member.

I'm curious as to why I don't really see clubs in my area anymore. I live in Milwaukee. I was at the Harley museum for a lowrider show the other day, and I saw only a handful of patches. I remember seeing the Outlaws out and about when I was a kid, but now barely ever. Apparently we've got the Iron Order here, but I've never seen those guys anywhere that I can remember. Why is it, in the home of Harley Davidson, that it's so rare to see clubs riding?

I think the thought of being in a club is counter to the reason we ride. More rules, hierarchy an BS. If I get in a jam I can call my close friends, all 3 of them, and they will drop everything to help out.

It’s never been about the money, I go into this with the mindset that as long as I make enough so keep up with my bike and maintain the lifestyle then I’m making it, and I think it can be worth the risks if you really feel the bond with the individuals you’re riding with and not just doing it for a patch. I also believe that especially with bigger clubs the circle you hang with can be the difference between life and death and prison versus freedom. Find the right charter, and find the right brothers to keep closest to you in that charter
