My father was in a major club for 40 years and recently walked away and joined an old guy riding club and has never been happier. No shame in getting older and having different priorities! 👊☘️

I've always been a loner, but I have who I've called a brother for many years, and for years now he's been complaining about how all his club does is use him and suck money out of him, but does little else. They even put his name on the mortgage for their clubhouse, and I've been telling him to walk away from the stupid shit for as many years. Sometimes our loyalties are greatly misplaced, and grow to be a heavy burden.

I've been in a club since 94 and I think it's how you'd say what's right for you. I loved every day in this life and wouldn't give it up for not being in the club. I'm about that though. I have great time with my family and never really missed much. I probably did but i wouldn't change it for the world. I got a nice speed boat myself and guess I got lucky in a few aspects but M.C. for life for me. Well at least another decade. Great show and #rockon

51 here as well and while there was a LOT of positives from my time in my MC it became a situation of where the "balance sheet" was more often than not ending in the red each month if you will. What I was getting out of my involvement in the MC was at least in my estimation not balancing with what I was putting into it whether it was time, money or personal investment. I'm closing in on two years OUT and while at times I'll get to thinking about the old days and how much fun they could be I snap back to reality quickly when I know how much more at peace I am personally without all the drama and assorted BS that comes with Club "life" and for me I confident I made the right choice. Hope it works out equally as well for you Hollywood!

It absolutely does. I never been in so much drama in my life while I was in a club. I never seen so many emotional driven men. They all look for drama to make a name for themselves. My life was so easy and the only drama in my life was the club. I have so many ridiculous stories that I just look back and shake my head at.

my life is so less stressful since I quit the club. It was a tough decision since I was 2nd generation felt an obligation to stay in but at the end of the day I had to do what was best for me.

If you are a lonely rascal with nothing in the world to hang on to, then join an MC if you have the opportunity, even if don’t have a bike. Leave the club as soon as you find your purpose in life

I am 72 been in clubs my life.. I look a hell of a lot younger than you.. I am out good in all of them. Been out since 2013, and with the friends I have around me I don't really notice too much of a difference besides a couple of little things. I don't suck the seat up when a trooper gets behind me anymore.. I can go anywhere I want and talk to whoever.. I can see my Brother's whenever they're not busy and I don't have to wait for church.. Well, that's about it.

I'm in a big club and I think about it all the time. I'm coming up on my 20 yrs. I'll be still in my early 40's. Half my life. The life in a large club almost feels like the life of a fugitive. Worried about LEO, the ops, and supporting myself financially. My wife grew up in the life, her father being in an opposite club. But unless something happens to me, I'm committed for the rest of my life.

Very good video and totally on point! This is actually the reason why I’ve been involved in a start-up of a new club, MCC. I’m 57 and have been struggling for five years with this “project” and trying use all those lessons learned from my previous time in an MC. You know, it has been a very clear message from the mc content creators that people should join existing clubs and not start new ones. This video is an excellent example of the reason why I’m doing what I’m doing: building up something that doesn’t exist within reasonable range from where I live. Something that is build on older persons values, needs and so on. Somehow it is kind of closer to the original concept of those very first clubs from the 40’s and 50’s, than all these traditional MC’s that follow the protocol, what ever that means. So, my idea is to be able to balance riding and MCC with my family life and at the same time stay away from all the problems and stress what I call “clubhouse club” and MC set related. As said, great video! ML&R/Heikki, Stockholm Sweden

I could never belong to an organization that tells me they are more important than my family. But to your point I agree when you are young and single I get it. Hopefully when you get middle age with kids you can go out good , I know guys that have. That also defines the difference between a club and a gang.

Hollywood, I am turning 49 in a few days from the time of this post. I left the MC in the late 90's. Best thing I ever did. Sure, I still ride, in fact, with many of the old club members, and former members of other clubs, but we're just a band of brothers, no BS, no rules, no rats, no rules, no drama. As a single father of a 16 year old daughter, who is learning to ride, the best advice I have given her is "Don't get in with an MC". I was able to focus on my family, my friends, my own personal time, and a decent career after leaving the MC. Cool heads prevail. Great video as always, MLLH&R.

We're the same age. As we get older, we get a better concept of 'Time'. (yes, I capitalize it because it deserves it) It doesn't pause, and never stops, and losing buddies is a good reminder that you could be next. So then we ask ourselves, is what I'm doing worth my time here? Are these the memories that I choose to make? With age, the answer is sometimes, "No". I know, there are not very many things more exhilarating than riding motorcycles with a group of good homies. I also know, that as I've gotten older, that floating down the river with my son in the canoe and a fatty, and watching eagles swoop fish from the water is just as gratifying. I think it's right, and natural to slow down. Some things, ya just have let go of.
