I am really exited for this technology, it is so easy to use!! Any performance test on razor-components yet? I'm interested in knowing how this thing performs in production applications. If performance is not a big hit this thing can go viral

I was playing around with Razor pages the other day too. I think it's pretty cool. Yours looks different then mine. Different version of VS? I'm using VS2017 Pro

Pretty cool video! 2 thoughts: 1. It would be pretty cool to mix and match razor and react. How hard would it be to render the react component spinner (spoiler: not hard): developer.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric#/components/spinner 2. When you clear out your list of geos you got the loading spinner back but if you treated the list of geos like client-side state/ cache you would already have the result memorized on future calls. This is essentially what redux gives you.

I have a lot of experience with c# desktop but zilch in web design so this looks really interesting. I wonder how you could conditionally style individual cells in that table?
@HassanHabib

You can use if condition to render the cells. If(something) else

Can Razor Components be used like Partial Views, so I could build say a dashboard widget which could be used anywhere? If It can, can I use data from the parent page in the child component?
@HassanHabib

Yes, you can build a component then re-use it, but it has to be used in another Razor Components app, just the way react components work. It's also important to know that this is till a very beta version of this technology, so I'd expect few things not to be fully functional.

When I create a new Razor Components application with VS 2019 preview with Asp.net Core 3.0 Preview 3, it creates two projects, client and server (instead of one that is being created at your example). Furthermore the razor pages that get created have .cshtml extension instead of. razor. Do you have any idea why it is behaving differently?

Interesting, it should show you the Razor Components option, how do you create a new project exactly, walk me through the steps you took.

I think you are using .net Core Preview 2. There are some recent articles explaining changes in .net Core 3 prev 3 just search for them.

@walter tudorin @Hassan Habib thanks to both of you for the replies, this resolved the issue, it was a matter of getting the last version of Preview 3.

I'm confused, what you're showing is available as razor pages in asp.net core 2.2? You're not making components.

I'm trying to show the capabilities of a Razor components application, in the simplest possible way without using Javascript or ReactJS.

Looks like, yesterday, the Asp.net team have dropped the name 'Razor Components' and went back to calling it Blazor (Server-Side). Check it out here on Git hub. github.com/aspnet/AspNetCore/issues/8931
