Hey man just wanted to say thanks for the video, got it working on my Flashback thanks to you. (signed in just to thank you) All the other videos i found looking for how to get it to work were just lazily thrown together shilling directly for a certain retailer and giving no info or not showing anything but the packaging and some gameplay.. (even the ones that did try it with the Flashback just said it worked and didn't say how or show how it should be plugged in....) See you also showed the main reason to use the controller on PS3 with the Sonic Ultimate Genesis Collection, obviously you know what's up. (If i had an Amazon account i would use your link to buy another one so instead I gave you a thumbs up) More info on how i got it to work with the Flashback: When i plugged the dongle in the light flashed the first time but after trying to sync to the controller it shut off and basically stopped working/died, so what i did was update the firmware of the dongle then i did what you advised and kept it plugged in via the USB cable. Just a small suggestion you may want to specify that the USB cable that is plugged into the dongle should be plugged into your PC. (you just said you must have it plugged in but didn't specify to what)

Thank you for showing PS3 because it is definitely highly underrated absolutely no one else I've seen has played it on PS3.

Hey there. Thank you for this video. I bought the controller specifically because of this video. I do have a question. I have a 2018 Flashback and when I use the original port receiver it just has a dim LED that doesn't blink for pairing. Only when i connected the USB cable to the side of original port receiver and then other end to TV (usb for power) or AC Plug into wall did it power up the receiver to allow it to flash and then pair the controller. However, I did notice on my 2018 flashback system that even when the system is off, if i have power to receiver via the USB method, the power light on the Flashback system actually remains slightly lit. Even when the system is off. I have to cut all power to the original port receiver in order for the flashback power light to turn off. Do you think this is pushing power into the system and could result in hurting it? I was looking for a good replacement to the wireless controllers it came with and this seems great, but I don't wanna damage the unit either.

I have exactly the same issue with the flashback led. It seems that the usb cable brings additionnal power to the console. I think its much safer to unplug the receiver to get back to normal state.

Does the dongle allow you to connect a second controller? Basically two controllers with one dongle? Thanks. Great video by the way, the exact set up I'm after (mini, true-blue and wireless controllers)

I don't think u can connect more than one per dongle but I don't have another to try

No... Each controller would need it's own frequency even if both are 2.4 or 5.0, the latter of which the Genesis Mini won't recognize. That said I would strongly point you to 8-BitDo for there M30 2.4 option, mostly because it's both cheaper and better made... Although I understand wanting that Sega Pad feeling of the plastic, if you are interested in RetroBit's pads you should be aware that if the light on the top of the controller is broken it won't connect to anything anymore because of how they mapped out the current... -_-,

@@mini-momentsmedia1293 No problem... Yeah do keep in mind that if you never plan to open up the controller to customize it or for repair then it's not a bad buy at all... But otherwise 8BitDo all the way! There M30 is like a fusion of the Genesis and Saturn's design with a SNES quality plastic, Just don't plan on opening it up either unless you're good at prying apart plastic. That said if you NEED a good Sega Pad that you can freely open up for whatever reason, you should look at the USB Corded Pads from Retro Bit... They have a cord length of 12ft and the quality of the cord is very comparable to most arcade sticks I have seen... So it may be a good option for you if you want that...
Does it work properly? Because I got 2 wired sega genesis controllers from retro bit and they were junk.

Yep. Once you install the latest firmware, they're the best wireless Sega controllers you can buy.

Does anybody know with the extra buttons on the controller, can you access the save game menu system on a Megadrive mini using the pad? I hate having to go to the mini system and press the button on the console to save my game
