Thanks Dr. Sam, I'm having IT band pain at 5 months.....wondering if cycling and walking will aggravate the pain? Saw your Q&A and am looking forward to your IT band workshop.

Yes cycling can irritate the IT band. The workshop should be ready next week!

Greetings Dr. Samantha. Really great content. I have been following your videos since few weeks. I had a query regarding my mother. My mother had chronic knee pain for last 6-7 years and ultimately decided for the TKR. Its about 10 months since she got a TKR done for both knees. She complains regularly about two things : 1. Clicking sound in the knee(right). 2. Stiffness at the back of her knees, hamstrings and calves. PS : She's regularly doing PT under supervision, and has got good bending(100 deg+) and really good strength in the muscles. What could we do for the stiffness to get better ? She still has the limping walk and holds stiffness responsible for that.

She’ll need to keep stretching those hamstrings. Sounds like they are still very tight.

Dr Samantha I'm at 16 weeks. Pain just started yesterday. It's not at the hip, it's at the insertion point at the knee. Very intense, makes bad words happen and stops me in my tracks. Will these exercises help or can you suggest others that may be more beneficial? Thank you for all you do!

Sounds like tendinitis. Tendons like isometric exercises.

I am 5 months post bilateral and I have sciatic pain on the right side. I have been doing all the exercises but bridges still hurt and I can’t seem to get relief. Bending is no problem but going down stairs still painful. I am limping but trying hard not to. I am using a bike and doing quad and hamstring exercises. Any suggestions?

Could a replacement be affecting the opposite hip IT band. I did 6 weeks PT for my knee, took two weeks off, now going back to try to address discomfort in the opposite hip. Stretching and trying to strengthen glutes.

Yes absolutely. Walking abnormal puts more joint pressure on the other leg.

Could this possibly cause pain in both hips and lower back pain? I am 6 months out and I am currently experiencing this?
