thanks for turning me on to Sue Foley! I really like her music and I was able to listen to her catalog thru Amazon Music on my laptop . I use my laptop to stream by using a USB cable from the laptop to my dac and then into my Cambridge Audio receiver! Sounds pretty good! Rick, you are correct. I never heard of Sue Foley. I will give her a listen. I also have a discovery. A few years ago, I discovered a band from the early 1970s. How I missed them until recently is a mystery. The band is "Babe Ruth". I have listened to only their "First Base" album, and I enjoy every song. My favorite is "The Mexican". I did not initially go for every song. But with vinyl, when you are too lazy to get up to change the record, you end up listening to songs that you would otherwise click away (when it is digital). Now, if I start playing any song on that album, it is hard to interrupt it. The songs grew on me. So I purchased the digital version, too, for long car rides. You just start the album, and the time flies. I purchased 5 or 6 pressings of First Base, before I found one that had very good sound quality. Luckily, that was a before vinyl prices went way up. My vinyl version of that album sounds better than my digital version. But in the car, the digital version is good enough. I am curious if you are familiar with that band? And do you like their First Base album?

Elizabeth Cotton is one of my favorites. There is a reason she developed her own style. She was gifted a guitar by her employer. The guitar was strung right handed but she was left handed. So she taught herself to play what is essentially upside down. She played that way for the rest of her career. Thanks for introducing me to this album. I am definitely going to check it out.

If your system is capable of spatial acoustics replication, Blue Rode recorded one of its albums in a huge barn. It's called 4 Days In July. Sony Legacy might have thrown their hat into the Record Store Day ring by releasing lots of cd sets for around $17, which have the six best albums of many groups in one package. 6 for the price of one; or six for 1/2 the price of an lp.

One of the fine things of your channel was the fact that your subjects were aspects which had to do with things around record-collecting like what means collecting vinyl, what are today's pricies of second hand vinyl or what is the best way of cleaning 2nd hand vinyl? I liked that attitude because I collect myself vinyl for decades. Until now you never, or almost never, adviced records of artists you promote. I liked that too because I want to search my own beloved records... Furthermore there are far to much so called critics on YT who advice me to buy this or that record (in time there were always records which were 'forgotten'). When that happens it has to be like that (the same as in literature or visual arts). Quality wins over the time always!

Unrelated to this video(sorry)...has anyone heard "Jazz At The Pawnshop"? It's supposed to be the definitive, supremely recorded, and mastered record that 'tests' your system? In my youth, it was "Stairway To Heaven" which was never my favorite LZ track, yet was ALWAYS played at your ubiquitous hi-fi dealer. I would cringe and walk out before hearing that track play again for the umpteenth time. If you're gonna use LZ, something like "When the Levee Breaks" would be more appropriate. The cut "Take Five" appears on the soundtrack of "Constantine" I believe.....elevates the movie for a few minutes.
