I'd imagine bigger tanks would have to be one of the options in the near future considering how much they (rightfully) cater to the towing demographic in other aspects of these trucks. I think it would be a simple but big selling point. Personally I can do without about 85% of the technology upgrades as that just makes me more comfortable and complacent than I prefer, plus it's a lot more stuff to go wrong.

This Saturday 10/1/2022 I will have waited TEN MONTHS for my 2022 F350 which is still not shipped and is just one of over 45,000 trucks that the Ford Motor Company has sitting in a lot in Kentucky waiting for parts. If you order one of these 2023 trucks you'll be lucky to see it in 2023.
@heathmcateer

That’s an insanely long wait… what trim and options did you have? Did you build it with fifth whee prep, spray in Berliner, or other options that have been delaying shipment on the super duties? Either way, that’s just miserable… I hope you get it ASAP!
@03silvercobra
2 жыл бұрын
We ordered a 21 Mach-E first thing on day 1. Was supposed to be 6-7 months before it arrived. It finally showed 10+ months later. It sat in Mexico for a while waiting on parts. At month 9 we said forget it and grabbed an Edge. I can say I learned a lot about how to order a Ford after that. Your biggest factors are dealer size and where in the country you live. Dealers will tell you all day long that doesn’t matter. They are lying. If you are east or west coast, you’re a priority. You are second in line in the middle. Small home town dealers simply don’t have enough pull. Big dealers get preferential treatment. If I ever order again, I’ll find a good dealer not marking up nearer California. The trip out and back will probably be worth it.
I got a new RAM Laramie 3500 DRW last week after waiting almost exactly 5 months. I might have ordered a Ford or even GM, but I needed a 5th wheel tow truck ASAP and the deciding factor was the probability time frame and I went with the best odds. This whole supply issue is difficult.

I disagree about 7.3 being in different category. I run f350 cc which is a derated version but has 4:30 rear. Not a power house but truck averages 10.5 across the board. Great video, guys. It’s about time Ford started listening to the customer and what we want rather than just following industry standards. You don’t succeed when you only do what other manufacturers are doing. Now, with that said… when is Ford going to offer a rear airbag setup for those of us who tow heavy? My current F350 sags with my 16000 lb fifth wheel (3000 lb pin weight). I installed airbags and a remote controlled air compressor and WOW! The steering and braking geometry returned to a non-towing state and its like my trailer is not even behind me because it tows so well. One other piece I’d like is an onboard generator that can power my fifth wheel. When I’m on a long trip and pull over at a truck stop, I’d like to be able to run an air conditioner while sleeping. That’s about all I can ask for at this point.

Which is heavier than your average 25 foot TT due to it's thicker shell design, and heavier duty off road chassis, and suspension. Sure wish that they would have given numbers like payload capacity, and towing capacity, but that varies with all the cab, bed, and suspension options I presume. Keep up the good work as I can't wait for your real world towing tests that you guys do so well! Safe, and hoppy travels from The Boondocking Brewer™!

The 10 speed is meant to comp for fuel mileage. Basically saying is you get better mileage no reason to increase tank size. I agree though it should be an option like it had been on previous cab and chassis

I’ve used Bluetooth for a camera and tpms sensors. The lag, poor resolution and unreliability made it difficult. I have the GM system now; all those problems are solved. Got a better tpms system, fixing that problem.

Love the trailer cameras, but they still left off a trailer cargo camera. Most my customers haul large horsetrailers with high dollar “cargo”, and pull in and out of rodeo and fairgrounds. While they’ll take the back up camera, being able to keep an eye on their horses while in motion is much more important. They have, and still will, have to have a secondary screen mounted up to watch them.

On the previous superduty tremor it has a clutch type front limited slip differential. The f-150 tremor has the Torsen differential

This is all great but I wish you would have asked him about the issues with the Diesel and gas engines particularly the CP4, cam and roller delaminating issues. I can't imagine paying $80k to $100k for a brand new truck and then 30,000 miles later it breaking down and having to pay $10-$12k to fix it! What is Ford doing about this well known problem? If you are going to do a review with the actual engineer from Ford, it would be good to hear how they plan on addressing these hard questions to reassure the customer that they are doing something about these and other common problems.

So it looks like the XL off-road package is a better than the FX4, is it only available on XL? What about XLT? Cuz the Tremor package is only available on Lariat and up.

When are we going to get LED headlights as a standard option? The working guys who drive XL trim before dawn to remote job sites could use this more than an 8 in screen

@Sinsofcarolina

@@blackghost1734 that’s a fair point since the Ford LEDs that look so damn good are like $800 off the shelf. My point is scrap the halogens all together and go with even low end LEDs for every car. It’s 2022. People in the 80s thought we would have flying cars by now. We can’t even get manufacturers to install decent bulbs on every trim

@@cjsoutdoors4412 14 to 15. I was shocked to hear the 6.2 was retired. I bet it will get a couple or so better than what the 7.3 gets. I bet you won't be disappointed in the new engine. Although I'd wait a couple years until they work out the bugs. The only issue still with the 7.3 is the coil wires (thin)but it's an easy fix. Good luck

Hello... in relation to these steps in the bucket, it could have been retractable, right? Like the glove compartment lid that you press and it opens, then you just have to do it with your foot or do it with approximation sensitivity, or even easier with a button on the edge of the bucket... it could also open lower like the "ladder" built into the lid... so it wouldn't have to have aerodynamic drag compromised affecting consumption and not risking unnecessary bulges to road users! Ps: These are simple solutions, you don't have to be afraid to spend a lot, see Mrs Ford!!!
