Ha Ha Ha!!! Love it! This takes me back to my childhood. My Aunt ,who was also my 5th grade teacher in Leslie County KY, read the Jack Tales every afternoon about 30 minutes before she dismissed students to catch the bus.Orville Hicks tells us the Hillbilly version of the story "Bremen Town Musicians" and I could listen to him all day long.

As I was listening, I began to recognize this story as our American version of The Musicians of Bremen! I have a figurine of the animals on my curio cabinet! It’s one of my very favorite stories!

My father was a good storyteller. He came out of Iowa. I am guessing you grew up in either the Carolinas, Virginia, or maybe Tennessee.
