Yeah, they are challenging to keep alive, Brett. These ones are looking very healthy at the moment, fingers crossed that they make it 🤞

Haha they ALWAYS look like this for me at 6 months old then they start to get the browning leaf tips, very strange but predictable unfortunately 🤪

They do look nice and healthy Brett. Maybe this time with the new aggregate mix it will be successful. I'm trying again with jackfruit, only have the 1 seedling. I will need to repot mine soon but then theres a worry they don't like root disturbance and it could lead to the same fate as my previous seedlings.

Sadly Louise mine ALWAYS look like this up to about 6 months ( perhaps while they are still feeding from the large seed), then they start to get the brown tips to the leaves that gradually creep through the plant 😱. I can’t even remember what compost exactly I planted them in 😂

@lyonheart84 it looks like you've got perlite in there so drainage should be good. I might try mine with a combination of orchid bark and citrus compost

@louiseahmedtropicalplantgr5000 it was probably perlite, orchid bark and whatever compost I had laying around lol

Yes, these jackfruit seeflings are looking good - hopefully, they will not suddenly die These are tricky to keep alive

Don't worry Brett you will figure it out soon why it suddenly dies, that why we re-grow them again and again 😂 until we figure it out 😊

Same thing happened to me when growing Kwai Muk… I’m not sure if the answer.

I’ve never tasted Kwai Muk or the had the seeds to be honest, I’m not sure why these plants are so tricky to keep alive here past a few months
