God help me, I'd never want to say anything disrespectful about Larry McMurtry, but his son, to me, is the clear genius of the two.

Keep hearing that James was bummed about not being as famous as his old man. To me he's as vivid an artist as anyone in our time.

The most memorable show that I've ever been to was James playing at The Knotty Pine in Victor, ID. McMurtry was fire!!

This song is from a debut album, amazing and could be the apex of an artist career, not with JM, only a beginning. I have been listening since purchasing cassette in 89.

okay so an amazing song writer and also amazing guitar player as well. I'm awaiting his first novel, it would obviously be good. Thank you James and see you at the Continental Club .
