Wow, how cool. The scenery looks so beautiful. You did give me a shock on the couple of spills and the hand sweats, but it's an awesome video ❤ thank you for sharing

Sick Johnny 🤙🏼 … that place look awesome. Up until you told a local that you were from Australia the back ground music was making your commentary hard to understand but after the volume was lower so I could clearly hear what you were saying

Thanks Dave! I mainly just speak gibberish on the rides anyway but that could be why people are liking the raw videos more 😂 😂

Looks awesome. I assume dh bikes would have way more weight on the back wheel because of the geometry???? Probably part of the reason for losing the front.

They definitely feel way more leaned back, which yeah is apart of my crashing issue, but the tires wer also rock solid and after the second crash I lowered the air pressures, I think it was a combination of weird dh bike feeling, Rock tires and muddy dirt 🥴😂😂

Great to see you ride in Japan. Being such a mountainous country it’s made for MTB but there aren’t many places to really ride. Lots of logging roads, fire trails and little dirt roads but very few actual Mtb focussed trails. I lived on Shikoku for a lot of years and had to make do. It would be so good if Mtb took off in Japan given the snow sports infrastructure would allow the diversification. How much did the park and hire cost?

Yeah I was quite surprised how small mtb was here too 😩 That’s really cool I’d love to live in Japan for a while, absolutely loved the place hey I got the full dh package which included Bike hire, helmet and pads and gondola for the day - roughly $190

That sounds about what I thought. I might have a look at their website and checkout the all-mountain bike hire. It’s got me wondering how many other places have opened up there. Road bike is king in Japan as the backroads are superb riding.

9 places to ride on Trailforks. A few runs per place. Could you imagine a Japanese Derby. I went white water rafting in Shikoku a number of years ago and as I was the only customer had a long chat with my guides. They said the locals in the area were against whitewater rafting for many years fearing lawlessness, rubbish etc. Now there are many rafting companies and the community values the business and the fact it brings young people, local and international, into what was a dying area. I wonder if mtbing could do that in some dying snow areas?

@@mitchjones1672 %100 mtb could bring soooo much to the unused ski places in summer! fujimi bike park could be a destination if they wanted it to be, its already sick and has so much elevation, but getting the idea across would probably be difficult hopefully it takes off 1 day! theres so much available in Japan
