Cinnamon toast crunch is typically seen as the 'right amount' of sweetness for American cereal standards. I personally feel like Fruity Pebbles are the best when it comes to the stereotypical sugary, America breakfast cereal. Most Americans associate cereal with being more of a breakfast for children or a 'quick' breakfast for adults. There's a few cereals specifically catered to adults (Like Special K and Raisin Bran) that are less sugary but are still a bit sweet and filling. You're spot on about it being 'easy energy', as most adults who eat it on the regular tend to do it for that reason. (I am one of them). There's also 'healthy' children cereals, such as Kix and Chex. I also add that American children tend to put a lot of milk in to drink the sugary milk; cereals like cinnamon toast crunch leave a bit of cinnamon sugar at the bottom. Bacon is an interesting 'breakfast' food that most Americans have had often with breakfast. It's a protein that's commonly offered with diner style breakfasts along with sausage, an add on to burgers, and, like with the cinnamon sugar ones, is one of those meats that is mixed with sweet flavors for a nice flavor combination. Turkey bacon is also popular for breakfasts, but not as common in certain areas.

A lot of the super sugary American cereal brands originated in the 80s and 90s. Advertising companies realized that advertising directly to children watching TV was more effective, because kids would see stuff on TV and beg their parents to buy it. It is a standard for most grocery stores (and even convenience stores!) in the USA to have an entire aisle just for cereal! The colorful boxes are like big advertisements, which is why mascots are very lively and always looking down--since the smaller children would be looking up at them. Many Americans shop economically by buying at price per ounce : If I were to buy the normal sized Reese's Puffs, they cost me $0.30/oz but the Family size is only $0.25/oz!! Bargain brand versions of cereal often come in even bigger bags and do not have a box at all but you can get those as low as $0.14/oz. So even if you are taking home these very large Family Size packages, you are saving money.

Fun fact, the first cold milk cereal had to be soaked in milk for about 8 hours to be edible. It was invented by James Caleb Jackson in 1863 - a religious vegetarian who said his diets could "cure alcoholism and masturbation." Later, when instant cereal was invented, it became a "breakfast" food because a brand called Postum claimed it was as good as coffee but minus the side effects. Coffee got scarce in WWII, so cereal grew popular despite just being a simple dessert.

As I got older I came to appreciate raison bran (without adding another tablespoon of sugar on top) As an adult I don't eat cereal. I don't even eat breakfast because there just isn't enough time. I work 12 hour days and typically have to drive half an hour or more each day one way to work. If I were to go to bed at a time that would give me eight hours of sleep, I typically only have about 3 hours to myself in the evening. I do try to cook a good supper however. This weekend I made a batch of shrimp and lobster stuffed ravioli to be served in a white wine cream sauce with a salad of spinach, grape tomatoes, avacado and cucumber with blue cheese dressing.

I'm excited to continue watching the NONNON cereal series! if you add about twice the amount of milk in the video, you can have some left over sweet flavored or colorful milk after you eat all the pieces. some US grocery stores sell a plastic bowl for children with a built-in straw to drink the milk at the end haha. also, some people let the cereal sit in the milk or mix it around for like 5 minutes to let it get a bit soft. I do this! it becomes a better texture imo. you can try this with Reeses Puffs or Cookie Crisp I grew up eating cereal every day before school for like ten years lol because it's something children can make on their own. But I didn't have any of these cereals until I was in high school; I had "healthy" ones like Kix, Chex, plain Corn Flakes, and Raisin Bran or Special K with dried strawberry in it. When these cereals are made, they add a lot of vitamins, and most are made with whole grain flour (which is a little bit healthier than regular flour). While bacon is more of an occasional treat, if you're looking for a fun way of having it, you should try candied bacon. It's very easy to make, here's a recipe: You'll need: -bacon -brown sugar -a baking tray (large enough to lay the bacon on) -tinfoil 1. If your oven can be preheated, set it to 400°F (200°C). Don't worry about it if that's not how your oven works, it just speeds up the cook time. While you're waiting for it to warm up, cover the baking tray in tinfoil. 2. Lay the bacon flat on the tray. Don't layer strips over each other, this will make them cook unevenly. Cover each strip with a little brown sugar. 3. Put the tray in the oven for about 5 minutes, or as long as it takes for all the sugar to melt and the bacon to cook completely. You may need extra time to cook it if your oven doesn't preheat. Don't leave it in for too long, bacon burns easily. 4. Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes and enjoy.

We have some savory options, like eggs, bacon/sausage, toast, bagels, and oatmeal (if you don't add too much cinnamon/sugar to it). But, some of the most common are cereals, fruits, pancakes, donuts, and french toast. It's definitely for that burst of energy, but you want make sure you keep that energy up by eating a good meal around or before 12:00 or else your body will crash HARD.

I know all the cereals you've shown, but as a child, my parents would NEVER buy them or let me eat them. The only time I got to eat them was at a friend's house. Usually my parents bought food from health food stores, so my cereals were Shredded Wheat or Vanilla Almond Granola cereal--which I both liked. I'm surprised Trix and Froot Loops aren't here; those are the most famous ones.

I have never heard of cinnamon toast crunch bacon lol. But bacon is very common for breakfast, dinner, or on burgers! All meat is a little expensive right now so, maybe not as much lol.

Dragon Ball is one of those things that transcends to multiple parts of The Americas. I grew up in Brazil watching Dragon Ball, then when I came to the US continued to watch it due to it being extremely popular in both countries

I forget sometimes that sweet cereal and just breakfast in other countries are very different. I used to love sweet cereals a lot but I grew a distaste to them as I got older. Sweets eaten in the morning make me nauseous and slow most of the time... If a sweet cereal is the only thing in our cupboard though, I always go for Cinnamon Toast Crunch 😋

So this i me personally but I don't eat breakfast. I just wake up go to work and eat a lunch and dinner. But most cereal is so sweet i just eat it as a dessert. Cinnamon toast crunch, apple jacks, and Honey nut Cheerios are my go to's.

Idk what the standard is but I always add more milk to my cereal than that. Enough to cover them entirely. Some people like theirs really dry or really soggy or in between so there is some variance on which is best. Personally Cinnamon Toast Crunch is best after soaking a little so it's still a little crunchy but full of milk. It's also way better than it has any right to be when dry like chips. I'd say that most American cereal really isn't the best "meal" since they are so high in sugar. But everything in moderation works. Bacon varies in price in the US but $5 per 1lb or 722 yen per 450g seems normal right now from a quick look, so it's pretty easy to have a bit for breakfast pretty often I'd say.
