In Spain a lot of venomous fishes are eaten, you just need to find a chef patient enough to deal with them because as you saw, all the venomous fishes need to be handled with great care from the sea to the table but specially when they are being cut, as they need to carefully remove certain body parts like spikes or the whole head, here we mainly use them to make broth to use with rice or similar dishes but they can be found on its own too like roasted or grilled, they are usually really local and hard to find away from the fishing towns

@@kiliang96 Nice bro... In my place Indonesia, we usually prepare fish by only remove the fish gut or dirt. We remove the gills and scales too. For some fish, we remove its fin... Then we will cook the whole body that has been cleaned include its head. It does not mean that we will eat the head or the bones... But, preparing it that way will give us advantage when we fry it or boiled it. It will not shatter. Also, the looks is good... And you can have a nice broth by cooking fish that way.... But we cut fish into fillet too when we want to fry it with flour... Or we want a different taste... We are Indonesia has a habit to deep fry fish or boiling fish with a lot of water... We like eating fish or meat that are cooked 100 %. I mean, not raw or not a half raw... And we like it crunchy when we fry fish... That's why deep frying fish is our favorite 😄 Maybe we have this habit because of we have a lot of palm oil... And we have a lot of spices too... We only have two season in a year. Rainy season and summer season. We have no winter season... So, Plants really grow good here... That's why Indonesian ppl are a lil bit lazy. Kind of being spoiled by the nature 😝

@hanson544

Lots of older cultures eat many different things because they went through periods of famine, drought, war, etc. They didn't have the luxury to choose in times of hardship and needed to make do with what was at hand. Those things eaten in times of hardship were then developed into more refined dishes in times of peace. Or they only had ready access to whatever was around them. Since Japan was isolated by the ocean around it, it didn't get much food-wise in terms of trade. One must wonder how many nameless people in human history died in the trial-and-error process of discovering what is edible and what is not.

@@strawberry-33-30 most things can have at least some sort of movement after death. Even humans! It's because of the residual charge in the nerves, sometimes it's just gotta be spent. An easy experiment to search is putting salt on frogs legs, they'll move in response after being completely disconnected from the rest of the body. Yay science
