Chevelle is an S tier 3 piece band. Their bass sound sets them apart.

Yes thank you this is one of my fave Chevelle songs so beautiful and heart breaking. There is another one that most people don't know called one lonely visitor in pretty sure that one and closure was about a break up his girlfriend broke up with him in a letter that she left at his house while he was on tour and he didn't find out till he came home and found the letter on his bed. I bet she regrets that now. Lol

Thank you for this, David and Howie. I had always written Chevelle off as just another “butt rock” band when I was a teen in his metal phase. I try to keep a more open mind nowadays but I don’t really give any retrospective looks into these post-grunge bands. They are so much more than that though. They have genuine emotion and their simple yet effective song writing is down to earth and endearing. By the way, a Chevelle was a car produced by Chevrolet in the 60s and 70s and I have no clue why they would name their band that.

I think their dad owned a Chevelle when they were all growing up and apparently loved it enough to name their band after it.

I love those band so much reminds me of my 20s and when my kids were young. And I actually just saw them live last September and let me tell you they put on an awesome show. His screams in this song are so amazing and just so you know his voice just gets better and better with time and he is the vocalist writer plays guitar piano and bass. And his voice is just incredible. Hope you do more.... I suggest door to door cannibals, hunter eats hunter, and anything off the newest album

Chevelle’s vocals has a Maynard James keenan vibes into it. Please check out “Wildfire” by Periphery👍

I always get tool vibes from them as well.... Me and friends joke that they started as a tool cover band named shovel .. and the studio was like you can't just name yourself after a tool so they were like make it French Chevelle 😅😅

Yes, he would LOVE the jazz breakdown in Wildfire! And the chord progression and melody are very musically interesting.

ik i wasn’t crazy when i would think that the vocals had that tool vibe to it 😭i think it’s the juxtaposition of vocals to music and the angry vs soft vocals right next to each other, or maybe it’s just me

Chevelle has been one of my favorite bands since I first got the album "This Type of Thinking". I really hope you get to something from later albums though like Face to the Floor and or Hats off to the Bull, Jars, or especially something from their newest album.

This is the first song I heard from them way back then. I remember I was in a local spookhouse and it honestly felt live. That bass kicks you in the gut, man. They had massive speakers throughout and it just surrounded you. It's one of the things I love about Chevelle; The bass carries so much. It never gets buried and instead sits right up front. It may never be the most complicated or intricate bassline, but it's always catchy. And those vocals are soooo nice. I honestly have no idea how these guys don't get talked about as much as their peers throughout the years. One of my favorite bands ever.

They are one of the few 3 piece bands that have stayed 3 piece. Well except with the departure of one of them in the past couple years. Some 3 piece bands like greenday ended up adding a 4th

Pete’s not that kind of guitarist. But I will say I liked chevelle when I heard them on the radio as a kid. They became my favorite band when I saw them live opening for three days grace and they blew TDG out of the water. I’ve been to allot of concerts since then, rock, metal, pop, classic rock country, folk. But the only concert that really compares is when I saw chevelle again.
