Zac Farro, the drummer, is one of my favorite drummers in the rock/alt scene period. Can always tell when he's behind a set. He plays with an unmatched intensity, but as you said, with a certain restraint where he isn't doing *too* much - always just enough. But its with 110% energy every time, which brings so much to every track he's on.

Paramore started really young, they wrote their first song called “Conspiracy” from their debut album All we know is falling, and hayley was only 13, taylor was 12, and Zac was 11. They’re one of the most talented artists in our generation. 👏

Just made me mentally drop my jaw bc I've always been of the opinion that Conspiracy is by FAR the best track of their debut, and a top 5 ballad of theirs, and that was their first cut?? Sometimes the stars really do just align

Hayley is known for her orange hair look. It's a Hayley Williams staple. I believe that Hayley was 14 or 15 years old when they started out Paramore. They have come a long way over the years and I've been on the ride since the very beginning. This is Why is a song off of their newest album that came out this year on February 10th. Their new album is called "This Is Why." They released this as a single sometime late last year. Got to hear them do it live on November 9th last year and this was their show opener. It's awesome. Zac is insanely talented and it was so heartbreaking when he left for many years but he finally came back home. Going to see them later this year in August. So stoked. I'm also happy to see you review a live performance of theirs. I suggested it on an older video you did of some of their songs. Music videos are great but like you said you can appreciate an artist who can deliver "the goods" both on the album and live in person.

Not only can they deliver live, I think they surpass it. Hayley's energy is just top level, she's such an incredible entertainer. And like you said, even if not all the parts are there, not all the voices and whatnot, the parts that they DO bring live are just too good. Also, Zac Farro is such a good drummer! I think that this Paramore formation is just insane, not only because of the 3, but also because of the musicians helping them. They truly are getting an incredible sound.

Love this song, the funkier, lighter sound is definitely not new to their catalogue (with hints of it popping up in Self Titled, but 2017's "After Laughter" being the first full album of it), but nothing quite as bare bones and indie as this! The song definitely feels like a nice blend of the AL sound, and some of the sounds explored in Hayley's two solo albums (with the influences ranging from Radiohead, to Whitney Houston and 80s divas, and to what I can only describe as "Deftones if it was pop"). It gives me more of the vibe of bands influenced by that 70s funk sound years later than the originators itself, more akin to a Franz Ferdinand or Bloc Party cut, but if anything 70s it's Talking Heads. And that transitionary section after the second pre chorus and at the end, that struck me instantly as being SO Fleetwood Mac haha! But alas it's always so fun pinpointing down these specific influences, but still being able to enjoy the track as a PARAMORE song and it not being simply pastiche. A balancing act and a half, but a great accomplishment and promising teaser for the album!!

I too got into them quite recently. The first thing I watched from them was their NPR Tiny Desk performance and was immediately hooked! This entire concert is on KZitem and it's awesome. Also, I believe it was their 3rd or 4th show atfer a break of 4 years. They definitely came out swinging for this new era. Also, that's their original drummer, Zac Farro. He really is something. I'd say his style is the second most defining feature of Paramore (after Hayley's incredible voice of course). A solid drummer is essential for a rock band and Zac more than fits the bill. Speaking of godly drummers, Matt Nicholls of Bring Me The Horizon is another one that comes to mind. I wonder if you've reacted to their song Avalanche, my favourite song of theirs. Another display of incredible drumming. Sorry this got so long 😅 but I really dig your channel. The best part is seeing you have fun jamming along with the music!

Captain and Tennille's "Love Will Keep Us Together" is a BOP lol. Great song for the parties. Now, I've never heard this song from Paramore BUT that quick little start off in their song sounded like that song from The Breeders called "Cannonball". I think you're gonna know it once you hear it. It was huge back in the 90's. Check out Royal Coda's "It Found A Different Path". They're a rock band. But they've got some psychedelic and progressive rock in their music. At first this songs was coming off slow like a slow jam but then my ears picked up what sounded like r&b from them and then I was hooked. I was feeling it. The singer has got a flow to him that could almost pass off as rap. Gosh, you have to hear that song dude.
