I like my Hakko also, but the JBC has better thermal transfer. I hope others with poor workmanship, quality, and poor customer service experience form JBC will be brave enough to call them out on it most fear speaking bad about them because they will end up being black listed or placed on JBC ignore list for any and all service, questions, if they ever needed it in the future.

I myself would rather have two 2 tool units for Redundancy since we depend on these tools to make our living. I know a couple tech's that had the 4 tool and sent them back due to lag etc. My buttons don't stick unless I press really hard on them at an angle. I have a feeling that JBC tools are no longer made in Spain but in china! I know you have seen my live tear-down and the solder splatter and bodged in capacitors, then the display issues not being consistent in brightness and contrast. brand new units delivered by the sales rep Craig Morris and they had sleep / hibernate issues out of the box requiring firmware update I had to fight to get. I actually think china manufactures would make a better built product and yes JBC's customer service is horrible. thanks for sharing.

I am in 5.8K for my JBC setup. JBC has still not provided answers to my questions. Still no public recall/notice on the downgraded MCU removed features units. Have not received my written apology for the bad customer service and missed meeting. No Schematics, BOM, or display part # etc. What is JBC hiding? Maybe they are now made in China using the lowest grade parts and Assembled in Spain... the min involved you know put on the cover or just box it up. Anyone buying JBC Tools Upon receipt of your JBC check it for all features and make sure it functions. Note any discrepancy and report it to them asap in writing. It is also highly recommended that anyone with @JBCSolderingTools quality issues file a complaint with their states Attorney General or other Official Consumer Protection offices.

@@Rhine_Labs you nailed it when you spend that amount of money should not have issues and should not be going through all the trouble
