Hell yeah brother 🙌🏻 now the truck it’s turning on a dime with zero effort. Remember the smoothness comes up at about 1k rpm’s

Yes sir. This rack fails me one more time. Gonna do full hydro or get a whole new cross member/subframe to put in a 74weld bulletproof rack whenever they ever come out with one.

I have the same setup as this truck. Install was not terrible (I did a regear at the same time so had the diff out which makes the rack super simple to do). Pump does come alive after 1100-1200 RPM. I have a slight whine at low speeds from the pump even after about 2 hours total of bleeding it and also using a vacuum bleeder on it. Also running Swepco fluid. No aeration that I can see. Is the pump in this truck shown in this video noisy at all?

I don’t know that swepco fluid is the way to go unless it’s the same as what JD fab suggested which is AC Delco 10-5073. We bled it out for a long time, maybe an hour. No whining from my pump.

As a quick note, the obd-2 pin jump procedure unfortunately will not work on all 3rd gen Tacomas. So if it doesn’t work then you’ll need a scanner with vsc modules. Once your steering wheel is straight then you can delete the code and you’ll be set as I did on this truck. Let me know if any questions arise. Cheers!

What rack did you use ( who made it ) and why was it leaking ?
@lit_taco4x4

He goes by Basikbiker on instagram and Tacomaworld. It leaked because of water and mud in there from water crossings. It caused the seals in the rack to grenade.

@@lit_taco4x4 you still liking the rack and rods ?? I have my rods and rack should be here in a week ish. ... what did you do about a intermediate shaft? did you shorten and remove the belows ( ribbed section ) on yous?

@@brokenarrow420 rack is still rocking. I’ll be posting up a video soon about a recent rock crawling trip. The steering shaft had to be cut short and welded.

How much would you say this improved steering? LC200 rack on 37s and I been considering this.
@lit_taco4x4

I don’t know how LC200 steers like. The Tundra rack steers ok with 39’s. With this JD fab Howe tc pump kit, I can steer with my pinky. Please note, it has to be close to at least 1k rpm to really feel the steering difference.

@@lit_taco4x4 Thanks! I'll be ordering one. Haven't heard anything negative about them.

How’s the pump been working? Are you able to turn the wheels at idle with below 1k rpm?
@lit_taco4x4

@@Ryan-of6ff like butter. When you’re on 4 low you’re already hitting over 1k rpm with a little gas so turning on rocks is a breeze. On the road, you can steer with your pinky finger. Too smooth.
