this is my favourite version of fmb on the web. it's so clean. even cleaner than famous people playing it, like Hank Williams Jr and Steve Martin. thank you!

therealdiehl I've been hassled because apparently all 15 year olds have to play guitar and like one direction the banjo is a hard instrument to play !

Absolutely fantastic. That must be one of the best renditions I've heard. I’ve just started learning to play Foggy Mountain Breakdown and was looking for a good example to help me. Wow! If I ever play it half as well as you did, I will be made up.

Wilson N that strap was made by James Alan Shelton who has since passed away. He made the best personalized straps. That strap had been on that banjo since it was new in 1989.

Yes, 1989. Assembled in April of that year and I bought it in July of the same year. At that time the "Earl Scruggs" model was the only one available. The "49 Classic", "Golden Deluxe" came later.

It just seems a little on the "blah" side. Accapella is usually good but this is missing something. Obviously he knows how to pick a banjo.
