My wife was one of those who believed Elvis didn't really. We followed Jimmy for over 40 years. She passed in Jan 2024. Now I understand her belief about Elvis because I cannot believe Jimmy has passed, or that my wife has passed. Love them both. We were Cruisers. I have a tough time getting through Jimmy's "Lovely Cruise" and the memories that arise about both of them. I can envision her now at Jimmy's heavenly concerts!

My dad and never spent time together when he was alive. He passed a couple of years ago, I never knew he was a Jimmy Buffet fan. I was pretty messed up after Vietnam, had some problems. The last time we ever saw each other was in Key West. We spent a few days in Key West ate hamburgers and had a cold draft beers at the Margritaville restaurant and later watcher the sunset at Malory Square. Life is short, sometimes you don't know what you have missed until it's too late, get a little misty every time I listen to a couple of songs.

I can't believe he's gone. RIP Jimmy. Love you man. So...yesterday, I went to the back of the house...part of the fall clean-up. There in the corner was the tiniest Weber charcoal grill made. I found it abandoned in our park a couple years ago. I figured (then) "hey, I'll use it at the next Buffett tail-gate". Well.....that tailgate will never come. I stood there and cried. I said to my wife, "might as well put it out in the trash". She said...."not yet, keep it for awhile memories are good". It took a day, I get it now. Jimmy will live on...such as Jerry, Izz, Glenn, Tom and sooo many others.

Jimmy Buffett's music has been and always will be my go-to for times of stress. I love to envision myself laying in a hammock strung between two palm trees. That is SO VERY touching, Steve!! I'll say this...I'm not a particularly spiritual man, but I lost my firstborn son in 2013. And sometimes I feel his PRESENCE. Well...I'm now watching/listening to this concert...and I happen to be right now at the point during which Jimmy is singing COME MONDAY. I'd like to imagine that every time you listen to that song, Steve, your wife is singing along with you (and trying to find a way to tell you that everything is going to be ok). Thanks for the touching tale. :)

Saw Jimmy for the first time on his 74 acoustic tour in Knoxville....we discovered Jimmy by seeing his promo film at a midnight movie showing one very stoned Saturdays night. Saw him many times since....especially in the 70's. We were vacationing at Jacksonville Beach in 1976...Jimmy and the band were warming up Loggins and Messina. My brother and I met some fan club members and after Jimmy's set we were invited back stage. We wound up later that evening in the tour bus. Fingers was messing around on the harmonica and Greg Ridley was sitting in front of what seemed a mountain of weed...rolling, rolling, rolling. Most vivid memory was Jimmy acting out a scene of some western as Tyrone Power. It was a night as they say! Now my brother is gone and so is Jimmy. Hope somehow they meet up for a beer on the beach and smile. This Pirate is looking at 66...let's all Kick it in now second wind.....
