Jimmy Lafave was and still remains one of the best singer songwriters ever to live. Purity at its finest. I can’t believe he’s gone but still listen to him everyday, his profound lyrics and melodies get me every time. Thank you Jimmy.

Amy Ann I couldn’t agree more! With all the garbage music in the world in particular “main stream country music” Good to know people still have taste and believe in real music 👍🏻 I’ve been living in California for the past two years and I listen to Jimmy when I’m feeling homesick! No mainstream artist can help me out when it comes to emotion lol

Oh Jimmy, why did you have to leave us so soon? I know you’re up in Heaven sharing the beauty of you. Although you didn’t write this about yourself, I feel the your beauty each time I listen to this song. Music just doesn’t get any better than this!💕

As I was walking through the forest Looking up at the Milky Way Always taken by the magic Of every single day Tall pine trees were all around me Snow capped mountains up above And my heart is filled with gladness Of all the things I love When I wake up In the middle of the night Just to question what is wrong and what is right I find my answers It’s always true The path leads to The beauty of you In this world filled with wonder As we circle around the sun Every moment it is measured And not just the treasured ones When I wake up In the middle of the night Just to question what is wrong and what is right I find my answers It’s always true The path leads to The beauty of you The simple beauty of you

I saw him many times at the armadillo Christmas bazaar, at the amphitheater on red river and at the bugle boy in Lagrange. He will always remain one of my favorite musicians. I first heard his music in the early 90’s. I listen to his CD’s and you tube videos frequently. Greatness magnified 🙏🙏🙏

Have sadly just discovered this musical treasure. Can't believe it.. I thought I was a fairly faithful ACL watcher, and knew my Texa-homa music scene. Sorry he is gone, but it sounds like Jimmy left some great stuff for me to get to know.
