This was my mom*s favorite too. For their 25th anniversary Dad gave her a music box with the theme playing. It became one of her most cherished gifts. She passed last year after 65 years together. This song will forever be a memory of their lives and love for each other.

Alan, I hope you know it was her favorite song, because it was YOUR arms that made her feel safe and loved, and it was only YOUR love that warmed her heart. I know this because my Mom loved this song, and would sing it often. My dad traveled overseas for long periods and she suffered from his absence. There were days she couldn't sing because her heart missed him so much. I miss her gorgeous soprano, singing this and other beautiful songs, so I've made a playlist of the songs I remember her singing. She would be a 100 next November, so I think I'll post that songlist to FB for my family that want to remember her and her sweet voice. It's been 20 years since she left us, but I still miss her awful.

My papa and mama danced to this song in 1954 in their wedding in the Philippines! And danced it again in their 50th golden anniversary. And was played again in their funeral, my papa in 2009 and my mama in 2016. Having lived my life in the United States the last 25 years of their lives before they died, I’ve only heard and knew of the song during my papa’s funeral when my mother refused to to let the pall bearers take my papa out of the Catholic cathedral without having someone sing the song first. So when I went home to bury my mother in 2016, I had the song played over and over again during her funeral in my iPhone . After 57 years together, they will be together again in heaven in eternity. I miss my papa and mama so much. ❤️❤️❤️

No other love can warm my heart Now that I've known the comfort of your arms No other love, oh the sweet contentment That I find with you everytime, everytime No other lips could want you more For I was born to glory in your kiss, forever yours I was blessed with love to love you Till the stars burn out above you Till the moon has bought a silver shine No other love, let no other love know the wonder of your spell I was blessed with love to love you Till the stars burn out above you Till the moon has bought a silver shine No other love, let no other love know the wonder of your spell ♥

what a beautiful rendition of this beautiful song. a voice os pure silk and the right tempo to dance a close loving dance with the love of your life, this is the trouble though now, as most young folk have no idea what romance means any more buuuut, get the girl in their arms and with this song it would all become so very clear guys would it not.

The melody is the Chopin Etude in E Major. He wrote the most divinely beautiful music! If you love this song, listen to a concert pianist play the Chopin Etude.

This song has been one of the two most popular Jo Stafford songs of all time in the Philippines , the other one being " Whispering Hope " , an all-time favorite Christmas song , believe it or not . I used to think that this song was overrated because so many people , most especially lovers , picked this song as their theme song . I wondered what was so special about this song . Listening to it with my heart and after being a lover myself answered my question . Now , I know that this song is as great as love itself. Certainly , one of the greatest songs ever written and recorded !!!

Just one correction on your lyrics. The line is: "Till the moon is but a silver shell," NOT "Till the moon has bought a silver shine" as you have it. Jo sings it very clearly and very beautifully.

Adapted from Chopin's Etudes no. 3 in E Major Op. 10 Now don't get me wrong. I love this song and how it is sung by Jo Stafford. But a hint of petty possessiveness and meanness of spirit shows in the line : ".... let no other love know the wonder of your spell."
