Doesn't matter if parts of history are "cool." If you don't learn your history, you'll fall for the same old tricks that have been used against us for the last 200 years. You know the schtick. If you don't know history, you're doomed to repeat it. I bet you didn't know that the US Government is literally a corporation. The Emergency Banking Act saw to that in 1933, 3 years into the Great Depression. The EBA was basically the Bankers saying "since you fucks can't handle your finances, we're gonna do it for you." Democracy doesn't exist in this world, and the probability that you didn't know that is the reason why. The more you know... "Give me control of a nation's monetary supply, and I care not who makes its laws." Baron Amschell Mayer Rothschild, 1773

Sorry to hear that Joey’s version of the Abacua brotherhood. This is fraternal brotherhood initiated more than a century ago by outstanding black people in Cuba. Their mission was to set principles of good citizenship for fellow black men without social recognition in pre-Castro era. These rules were in accordance of the ancient African spiritual laws where certain sexual preferences and gay people were prohibited which still exists in many religious houses in Cuba. It does not mean you mistreat gay people but just you can engage with them in religious activities. The criminal version of Abakuas is the only one Joey knows, criminals that were liberated from prison by Castro to come into the US when the Cuban-American conflict was really hot at the begging of the 60s. Like a sector of the black community in every part of the Western world, criminalized by different social and cultural situations, they do not represent the honorable and religious Cuban abakuas. Now the brotherhood includes white people too but still not women in the aspect of performing religious rituals but they are central and highly appreciated by real abakuas and their fundamental religious principles. I am from Cuba and I am not abakuas but have a lot of honorable abukua friends that I respect and love.

Due to the secrecy of the society, little is known of the Abakuá language. It is assumed to be a creolized version of Efik or Ibibio, both closely related languages or dialects from the Cross River region of Nigeria, because this is the cultural region and ethnic groups where the society originated.

It is actually. The language is pretty much an import from that region, which shares a border with Cameroon. The language actually shares some similarities with Kikongo, at least in the way it is spoken, not much the words or translations.
