Nice! Don't suppose it's a K341 or similar? I recently overhauled a 316K with a K341 and from the videos & the way that engine looks & where things are located, sure looks like one. Good job man!

Awe man what happened to the 317 ? Ya didnt sell it did ya ? I habe a 317 with a series 2 engine thats like show room condition,, id never sell it,, it is the best 300 series tractor john deere ever made,,, except the 332... but the 317 has the toughest rear end hydro set up out of all of them...my 317 had a dealer swap out engines from series 1 to series 2 and tractor only has 436 hours on it ,, love that machine

Working on restoring one myself and I was wondering why the black foot pads have a yellow stripe? Did those machines originally come that way from the factory only wondering because I have a 318 that doesn't have that but it also is a little bit different. Thanks

green&yella fella I did not find the issue I’m assuming the rod was a little oblong, I never got that far into the machine since I ran out of time and money , I ended up selling it even though I wanted to keep the machine

I know it's 4 years late. But I just watched the video. I noticed the drive shaft wasn't true. Like a bent crankshaft or something in the driveshaft.
