Hello from Australia. What weight do you fill into the Haulout Bins? I love the Dual Row Harvesters. In my Area in Bundaberg Qld we hav a couple of Custom made Dual rows machines but I havent seen any John Deere units.

Hello, I believe those wagons are 10 ton capacity. From what I heard they are starting to bring some Deere 2 rows out your way. Not sure why its taken them so long, there is surely a market for them down under. I've seen a few videos of those custom built two rows (Young?) they are impressive machines for sure.

Fun to watch the egrets in and around the machines looking for insects. How far along is harvest in this area? Thanks for sharing.

Great video! Why was the tractor pushing the wagon backwards?
@AerialAg
7 ай бұрын
Thanks! It's because they were opening a new block of cane. Some farms have the tractor roll over the cane when opening a new block, but this one prefers to open this way.

Great video -loved it. - Especially the shot from 6.20 to 6.35, - did you get covered in 'cuttings' or only the camera.? - Some of those tractors were absolutely 'smothered', - I see the wise ones either went backwards or at least tried to keep as much as possible out of the way. Don't those engines overheat with all that 'glued to the rad' etc.

First off, thank you . .. No I have a tiny tripod for my GoPro. So I set it in between the rows and let it record .. the tractors usually don’t have a problem with the shucks since they’re usually in front of where the secondary fan is blowing

When does the harvester operator decide not to use the front trimmer on the green stalks?
@christopherlovelock9104
2 жыл бұрын
@marksandsparks1 - When he wants to be able to at least see the rows in front, especially on that twin row machine. Those 'cutters' don't seem to me to be awfully effective unless the stalks are completely upright, - and nine times out of ten they aren't. Plus from the few 'in cab' shots I've seen, they produce a hell of a 'blind spot' right in front. I think they would be better if they could be 'swung' to the side to cut the next row/s that he will be cutting down.

When the cane leans a little bit, the topper cant catch the green tops. At that point they usually turn it off.

@@AerialAg Interesting! So what's the actual purpose of the toppper when the cane is upright since it seems like it can still be harvested with the tops?
