I remember as a kid seeing cane trailers lined up all the way down Leighton road and all along the bayou on Hwy-1 past K-Mart going towards Thibodaux! This particular sugar house in the video (Leighton) was/is always busy!

Lol, they can't do that here due to state law weight restrictions on trucks/trailers.

Great video. Some mills used to do tours, - do they still do them, or was it only the ones in Indonesia who didn't have Health & Safety breathing down their neck that did them.? - That 'Peterbuilt' with the 'Chromed' trailer was beautiful, it made all the rest look 'plastic', - it also looked as if it did a different job, - I think if it was mine I wouldn't want to go anywhere near that unloading area, (or a muddy field).

They used to do tours for the public but stopped due to liability concerns. They did however let me go on a tour since I make these videos. I'll make that video in the not too distant future with that footage. And yes that Pete definitely stood out amongst those other trucks. I believe it may have been hauling raw sugar.

You need to make a video when they are unloading whole stock.
