Did my basic training here when it was the guards depot in 1986. Loads of memories mainly bad ones.
Who are the people with berets on? I know about the guards with their peaked caps but not the berets

Nik Obell Guards aren't trained at this training facility. Guards, like other infantry regiments, are trained at ITC Catterick, the soldiers in peaked caps are joining the Royal Engineers, Royal Artillery, Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers and the Royal Intelligence Regiment, the soldiers in black berets with the gold cap badge are joining the Royal Logistics Corps, the ones with black berets and the sliver cap badge are joining the British Army Band and soldiers with the light blue beret are joining the Army Air Corps.
